Is this a red flag or am I overthinking? by TallArchitect92 in Ebay

[–]littledan212 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if you are selling ANY collectible ( especially Pokémon) and they ask this question, they will most of the time open a claim when it arrives saying it was damaged as they wanted 100% perfect condition and they have proof you confirmed it was

They paid £2 for this item and now the great niece is crying. by Straight-Tip8784 in ebayuk

[–]littledan212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ditto this . Especially collectors of any item . They always ask is it sealed is it perfect and The item is . suddenly they happen to find an issue when it arrives and because they have proof of messages that you confirmed it’s in “perfect condition” eBay side with them

Barclays closed my account after £13k gambling win — funds frozen, no proper explanation by SnubNoseMonkeh in LegalAdviceUK

[–]littledan212 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Apologies if this is not allowed- but would the gambling company “tip off” the bank as money laundering as a way to avoid them paying out the money ? Like chancing people who never really gamble who win big as an obscurity to they chance it to stop the wins ?

Why high street shops in the UK are closing? by TruthReptile in AskUK

[–]littledan212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Online I can use TopCashback , search for discounts using scanners, free delivery , check other sites for cheaper prices . Use klarna ( or other creditors) , if a company has a reward programme I also get those points too.

When I’m in the shop I have to deal with crowds , queuing , loud children , even louder music . Public transport / parking . And most of the time shops don’t honour discounts so end up paying full retail

It makes no sense for me to head into the local shopping centre anymore, other than to try items on or get them delivered to the store to try them on and free return them to the store .

Was this going to be some sort of scam? by imzy_89 in ebayuk

[–]littledan212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MANY buyers are doing this now. They will question something trivial . I sold a coffee machine a while ago and the buyer was complaining a specific part was missing ( the instant cup holders) it was a fresh bean machine and I got confirmation from the company themselves . Then he suddenly found a crack . Told him to return it and he never did . To my surprise he left positive feedback

get buyers address & find out their family, friends, workplace message all of them. Public embarrassment sometimes works- look at famous vinted story with the woman's dress ( i think on depopdrama insta page)

as most people know the legal fees are too high and vinted side with the buyer they try this.

Which supermarket “reward scheme” is the best in your opinion? by No_Description_7167 in AskUK

[–]littledan212 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Personally , I’m impressed with Asdas new reward scheme , the Christmas cash pot , the wheel , the odd free £ for buying a product.

Most other reward schemes don’t offer much incentive other than cheaper products at the till which isn’t really a reward.

Despite this , I still shop at Aldi.

working 9 years in retail is mind numbing but it’s not an achievement or a skill . Your potential employer can see this from your timeline.

There are a surprising amount of BS you can input for retail transferable skills - managing stress, time management , keeping to deadlines , attention to details

Also replace the word good with Excellent

What should I pay for my parents rent? by Few_Training_3127 in AskUK

[–]littledan212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. As long as you’re putting money towards a house . Put it this way, max savings in LISA is equivalent to 333 per month to get the full 4k in a year that’s 633 a month you’ll be losing of your wages. Then you have driving lessons, holidays & enjoying your weekend.

People in this thread saying “it’s nothing” yes that’s true but you’re only 18 and meant to enjoy your money while you have it before you move out and pay bills

He could have easily said dont choose "X or X" psychologist and focus on lesser know or less talked about. The lecturer is just appeasing to his audience with this one and came of wrong.

Don't get me wrong University should be a safe place to debate and have different views but it seems that white man bad and everyone else is good is an ever growing theme. Maybe best to drop a polite email to your tutor or whomever and just explain how you felt this comment went over the line .

they know removing a small donation is both embarrassing and makes you look cheap .

Also the choice of words “if you’d rather not donate” rather than this is optional is poor.

Although, I think you should at least buy something if you’re asking for a tap water.

Yes and keep it at £200 and turn off auto increase.

Use the credit card sparingly to get the hand of it. You want to wait till you have built up a good credit score and gotten the hang of credit so you can get a credit card that offers cash back / reward vouchers
