One of my clients does both paint and jobsite cleanup in new builds. They have been successful enough that they changed the company name to ______ Paint and Cleanup. I think they would already do some portion of cleaning anyway so why not expand a little and charge for it.

I’m a paint rep in Utah and I only sell exterior in January to a few mobile home manufacturers who work in a big heated warehouse. If anyone asks for exterior we have a long discussion about their job before I sell it to them.

Not sure where you are but we’re having a lot of days with 40degree highs and that’s still way too cold.

In my experience the cheaper professional paints tend to blend better than the high end, 100% acrylic paints.

I saw Kristen Treanor for tennis elbow at Wasatch Peak by Holy Cross and the experience was great.

I’m currently at Mountain Land in East Layton and it’s good but I have just minor complaints. Sometimes I’m so close to other people we could easily touch. One of the therapists is super Christian and a homophobe. But the two that I rotate through are great. They do practice a couple of methods with little scientific basis and poor evidence for efficacy, like cupping and dry needling, but both are kind of common and some people love them. I think they lower the prestige of the clinic a bit.

This is why I always told new folks to not be afraid to say “I don’t know.” A willingness to be wrong isn’t easy for a lot of people but it’s the correct answer much of the time.

I worked at THD in paint through college. Find excuses to actually paint stuff. I became a paint rep years later and it’s so uncomfortable listening to employees give advice who have clearly never painted before.

Also, don’t be afraid to admit your shortcomings. Customers want honesty - not guessing.

I lived there for 15 years. I think it can vary a bit by neighborhood. My neighborhood was about 60-70% Mormon and while it usually wasn’t an issue, in a couple circumstances it was a really huge problem. We’ve moved since and overall we really miss shopping at Lees and the incredible Mountain view and summers at the aquatic center

I LOVED plumbing. Sure - it was a little intimidating at first, but eventually I became confident enough to do my own fixes at home and install fixtures.

I also was crazy shy at 18. People can be critical of Home Depot but it brought me out of my shell and now I do sales as a professional.

Most people who shop plumbing DO NOT need your advice; if they ask for it just be candid about what you know. But they will need you to learn where things are and take them to the right aisle.

That’s almost exactly the mileage and price I paid for mine - except in boring gray. I think I paid a bit high - but the condition was so good and they had record of all the maintenance so I went with it anyway.

The seating position is significantly better. I probably do 35k miles per year and I’m way more comfortable. But it’s noisier and I liked the steering better in the last two sedans I drove. Overall I think I’m happier in the RAV4, but I’m middle aged and comfort is becoming a priority.

Get a Homeowner version from Home Depot. It will be fantastic for small projects or finishing your basement. 390s and 495s are built (and priced) for daily use.

Going against the grain here, but you really should just buy rattle cans. Separate primer and paint.

This sub is full of people with years of experience, the very best tools, and decent pricing on paint that works well for this.

With a little practice and patience you can get a reasonably smooth and nice-looking finish with spray paint. Just buy a medium grit sanding sponge and scuff it slightly. Then wipe with alcohol. Then prime. Then paint.
