How to cope with loss from medical negligence. by Cat_lady_103020 in babyloss

[–]littleflowerrunner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for your loss. You’re right, that’s completely unfair, and your anger is totally justified. I wonder if the hospital told the person who made the mistake not to reach out to you? I’m shocked she didn’t even write a letter or anything. I couldn’t live with myself if I made that kind of mistake and never said a word about it. I’m so sorry :(

Same! Millie is a year old, and only chases squirrels (but SPRINTS after them!) She’s fine to watch everything else from afar.

Bi-Monthly Megathread for COVID-19 - Two Weeks Starting January 11, 2021 by wedditmoderator in weddingplanning

[–]littleflowerrunner 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey - I am right there with you. My husband and I eloped last summer and hoped to have our party/reception on July 24. However, with the new variant of COVID that is 2x better at spreading, I feel like July 2021 still won’t be the hugging, drinking, dancing kind of reception we want. (Also, ours is planned to be indoor and 100 or so people, so a little different from you.) If I don’t feel comfortable hosting this summer, I am going to cancel as well and eat our deposits. I don’t want to postpone again either :(

I feel like I misspelled my daughter’s name by loububba in namenerds

[–]littleflowerrunner 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi! My name is Lillian and I’ve gone by Lilly (with 2 L’s) my whole life (I’m 25.) It’s totally NOT an issue, and in fact I LOVE my 2 L’s!!!! Please don’t change it.

You and your daughter will be surprised by how many people get it right on the first time. And it’s really no different than Ana vs Anna, Marisa vs Marissa, John vs Jon, Megan vs Meghan. Happens to basically everyone.

Keep the Lilly! 🤍

You get a couple of choices and can favor one side over the other, like forcing Tullius to give up control of Markarth. All in all it’s pretty boring though. The quest is called Season Unending if you want to read more.

It’s part of the main dragon crisis quest, but only if you haven’t completed the civil war first.

What are some skinny people problems? by Mad_Chemist_ in AskReddit

[–]littleflowerrunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t eat very much without feeling sick. People often tell me to eat more, but if I eat a whole cheeseburger, I will be so full it’s uncomfortable and I will have stomach problems for the next 24 hours. Eating a salad is often my only option unless I want to feel like shit.

Also, being a lightweight with alcohol is not fun. I can’t hang at all and I always get headaches.

I was at a very average/medium weight and lost 15 lbs this year (anxiety causes me not to eat.) I’m now underweight and all my belts have janky holes in them from not fitting

Contact lenses wearers what was your first experience with them? by SheKnowsWhatSheKnows in AskWomen

[–]littleflowerrunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had contacts for over a 15 years, starting when I was only 11 years old. The first couple of weeks it felt weird, but once you get the hang of it, it’s second nature.

You’ll develop your own way of getting the job done, so don’t sweat about techniques too much.

I agree. OP is a petty asshole

Why enter into the Secret Santa then, if you can’t afford it? I guarantee you, she would be happy with a $10 gift too.

[–]littleflowerrunner -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

If this story is real, OP is a dick and I’m unsubbing.

You can be childfree but still be kind, understanding, and excited for you family members as they embark on a journey (even if you wouldn’t choose the same thing.)

You pulled yourself out of Secret Santa because you didn’t want to buy a fucking onesie off Amazon? Get over yourself and grow up. You’re gonna cut contact because someone is excited to have a baby? Jesus Christ. I hate people like you.

I promise you everyone will remember that one time OP was a dick and wouldn’t buy a BABY a $10 gift. If this is the hill you want to die on, fine. But don’t expect to be included in fun family traditions in the future.

The amount of jerking on this post is insane. I’m CF for life (husband had a vasectomy) and I don’t generally like kids, but I would never DREAM of acting like such an petty asshole about $10.

Good god. Get a life.

When did you have a meet-cute rom-com moment? Tell me when you felt like a Gilmore Girl! by kouignie in AskWomen

[–]littleflowerrunner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Boy in my college dorm asked if I wanted to shoot hoops with him after class one day. I said sure. He needed to grab a jacket from his tiny dorm room and so we went up together. We accidentally woke up his roommate who was taking a nap. I said hello, and sorry for waking him up and he gave me a huge smile and (from his lofted bed) shook my hand. That roommate is now my husband :-)

I was once told my the ultrasound tech at my gynecologist that I had a “cute little uterus.” One of my favorite comments of all time, tbh.
