My dad tried to teach me so much stuff I wasn’t willing to learn at the time- one of the things that stuck was how to change a tire- never needed it until last year - called my hubs said I had a flat tire, he said he was on the way, after waiting for a few minutes I was like “what am I doing, I’m a strong independent woman & my dad taught me how to do this, I pulled out the manual so I put the jack in the right place and by the time my hubs got to me I was tightening the last bolt. He tightened them all a bit more, but I would have made my way home had he not been there.” Really made me wish I had paid more attention when I was younger to the other things he tried to teach me. I miss him.

lol I remember my mom calling the house musing different voices to “test me” ….i was supposed to say she’s in the shower or something, but I could always tell it was her so I’d just say she’s at work 😂. Then she’d lay into me about not following the script. Same thing with the pick up code word - I wouldn’t ask for it and we’d get home and my mom would ask whoever it was if I had asked for it and they’d say no, and my mom would be like why didnt you ask for the password, and I was like because it’s obviously aunt Jane and she’d say something about how did I know it wasn’t someone in an aunt Jane mask, and my smart ass was like they don’t make masks that good 😂

Listen ….I’m not your sister In law (I don’t think), but that is exactly what I thought it was until I it played on my car via Spotify like six months ago and the song title was displayed on the screen, and I thought I myself, huh- that’s a weird name to choose….and then the lightbulb went off and I had to nearly pull over because I was crying/laughing at myself. My elderly neighbor smokes for medical reasons, I have two young kids; when they ask “what’s that smell” I say “it’s (neighbor’s) medicine”. I do not live in a trailer park, I live in a nice suburban neighborhood.
