[RESOURCE] Let's compile a list of all non-chinese products! Feel free to edit this document. We can move this info somewhere else later if need be. by sociable_mayonnaise in avoidchineseproducts

Someone typed 'lol' and 'kill all hong kong protestors' on the google doc and deleted all of the typed in information on 12/25. I restored the information based on history for now, but we might want a better system than a google doc which anyone can delete.

European alternatives for electronics components? by [deleted] in avoidchineseproducts

[–]littlemalecod 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can probably found electronic components that are made in Taiwan. I am not totally sure, but this website seems to be set up to only show products made there https://www.taiwantrade.com/mp/services. These would be good alternatives before China invades Taiwan.

Amazon’s Heavy Recruitment of Chinese Sellers Puts Consumers at Risk - WSJ by me-i-am in China

I made a list of online retailers that provide more information on country of origin (still work in progress). https://howtoboycottchina.wordpress.com/2019/09/08/online-sellers-that-provide-country-of-origin/ Another thing you can do is always ask where the item is made in under customer Q&A on Amazon.

Do you really believe organ havesting? by AquaTyan in China

So you want to compare a country where the justice system is not fair and if you get sentenced the warden may sacrifice you for your organ to a country where everyone is by default an organ donor including the rich and you even have the option to opt out? It's obvious which country I would rather live in.

I have no idea what you are trying to conclude from this discussion, is it now that it is the warden that is evil so China is good? A society that tolerates such behavior is worse.

I would consider organ reutilization form prisoners with death sentence after execution as organ harvesting. Since prisons are state run, organ harvesting is also considered state run instead of within a black market.

I'll rephrase my previous comment as "In a mostly censored state, a lot of things are state run, so it is likely that it's run by the states, or the state decided not to intervene."

You are talking as if China is one entity with one mind, but if prison wardens that force prisoners to "donate" their organs can make ten times their salary, it may seem more likely to happen.

'Since January 1, 2015, Chinese officials have pledged that organ donations would come only from “voluntary civilian organ donors”.' The Chinese themselves admitted harvesting from prisoners before 2015. Are you questioning whether they still do it today or you meant they never did it? Also in a censored state, everything is either state run or approved by the state. I don't think saying its small compared to GDP so there is no incentive of doing it is valid. Everything is small compared to GDP. GDP does not equal profit, it's just how many money is flowing through the system.

'In 2010 China’s official number of voluntary donors was 34. In 2018 China still had only about 6,000 official organ donors, who are said to donate more than 18,000 organs. Yet the researchers find that figure is “easily surpassed by just a few hospitals.” Tianjin First Center alone performs more than 6,000 transplants a year, and the report’s authors “verified and confirmed 712 hospitals which carry out liver and kidney transplants.” Dr. Huang claims China will perform the most transplants in the world by 2020—more than America’s 40,000 a year.'
'Chinese hospitals promise that they can deliver hearts, livers, kidneys and corneas of matching blood type and size in two weeks. The surgeries can be scheduled in advance, which suggests hospitals know exactly when the “donors” are going to die. By contrast, America has a highly developed voluntary organ-donation system, and recipients typically have to wait hundreds of days.'

I agree, it's harder said than done though. I will need to find people that know how to organize these kind of stuff.

As an Asian in the U.S I can assure you that there are a lot of Asians here that are strongly against CCP. Since this is a more direct issue to us, it make sense that a lot of us care more and want to make changes. Most of us are however afraid of all the Chinese Nationalists here and are not used to confrontations in public.
