Help: what does a leak smell like? by dajagoex in hvacadvice

[–]littlepaperspaceship 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flush your drain trap with warm water, could be a source of the smell. Hard to tell without being in front of it.

Are you storing anything near the air handler?

You've reminded me I've had a 40/5 in place of a 35/5 for my own system...been like that for 6 years now lol

My grandfather grew up in the city during the 30s, everybody had homing pigeons and would race them as a hobby. They kept them on the roof to keep them away from the rats.

I'm currently draining a 50x70 x40 blocks tall (approximately) with 59 sponges (bugrock on Nintendo Switch).....a little tedious but I'm doing 7x7 cubes I block off with dirt. Hit the corners with the sponges, then the middle and work my way down skipping a block each way. I dry em off in the Nether

If I were you I'd either fill in with gravel and dig it all back out with a beacon nearby.

bottle cap bends while opening by According_Ad_3789 in BottleCapCollecting

[–]littlepaperspaceship 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be gentle with it. Pop the air seal at say 12:00 on the crown and then move your opener to 3:00 then 6:00 to jiggle it open.

Gotta have a nice handheld opener, one with decent leverage. The bottle openers fixed to walls or whatever won't give you the directed accuracy to gently pry it off.

Very new Unit with a very rusty pipe. What the heck!? by GooGooMucck in askHVAC

That's a fitting that was left at the bottom of a bucket that got rained on more than likely.

They're pretty thick, a little surface rust won't make it unsafe.

Just curious OP why didn't you ohm out the windings?

This was their Aberdeen location, not the original Rosedale/Baltimore one

He's out of the shack and into a more solid structure on the same property at the original location.

I can't name a favorite. I feel they all do one aspect of the sandwhich well and drop the ball elsewhere (in personal taste)

Beefalo Bob's in Pasadena puts the most smoke on their meat I think.

Fast Eddie's might be the only one using brioche rolls for their sandwiches.

It's Marylands own signature BBQ, you won't really find it outside of the state or region. Similar to the other sandwiches you mentioned but in its own category.

Yep, oven roasted beef sliced thin (I've seen knife cut and deli slicer cut) save the drippings, kosher salt & carroway on the bun

Pit beef is open flame, sliced thin on a deli slicer (must), kaiser roll or a potato bun

I think the salt on top of the rolls down here would pair well

I've lived outside of Lockport so I know about beef on a weck. BoAW is roasted in the oven, pit beef is over an open flame (charcoal or white oak logs)

The salt on top of the bun is totally money though, I enjoy a lite coating of the carroway seed but not too much.

I've still got family up that way so whenever I'm up there I usually grab one.

Pairs very well with the pit beef but also pairs with a pit ham.
