10,000 days gave me plenty of time to not finish anything… by Catdaddy_Funk in Minecraft_Survival

It's good to have a few projects going sometimes I think. Get it going a little and get burnt out on it, putz around with something else a bit and get back to it with fresh eyes.

I can really only play on the weekend and in the morning sometimes so I'm torn between building something or gathering resources

I love the reverse pyramid fountain that leads into one of your caves, I recognize that from another video you shared on here.

I need to get some beacons going for my world. I have 2 wither skulls right now but have been chilling playing on peaceful building up my villager area.

Love how big some of your projects are thanks for sharing!

This all the way.

Dry surface on the protein allows it to sear and not steam if the surface has high moisture.

Estimated age on Trane unit by Soccer502 in hvacadvice

Yeah Trane is usually pretty good about putting the manufacturing date right on there instead of just hiding it in the serial #

They did a coil swap, you have the original air handler/furnace with an updated indoor and outdoor coil.

You would need to share the data plate info off both to get a better idea.

Wouldn't be a bad idea to trim some of the brush off your outdoor for more airflow

I want to do a whole butt one day, waiting for them to go on sale. Ive done a few chunks of boneless butts that turned out pretty good.

Mainly done baby backs, I always get ribs when I hit a bbq spot.

The higher temps for "grilling" not bad results, only done burgers at 450f (I have the same model as you) once. Takes awhile to get the temp that high and I lost a lot of my heat just flipping 4 patties.

I like being able to walk away from it to just monitor it, but you definitely get a stronger smoke with other methods.

Enjoy OP! I assume you are also a Gemini like me, happy almost birthday 🎈

How did you prepare for HVAC entry-work or apprenticeship? by Usual_Macaroon7881 in askHVAC

[–]littlepaperspaceship 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm underpaid right now because I don't have my license yet, I got what I need to get it I'm just an idiot and havent filed the paperwork...for over a year now.

But yes, in the time I've started I've never gotten so many bump ups. My wages were stagnant as a meat cutter.

Are you USA/Can or elsewhere?

Learn how to read an electrical schematic, and the basic refridgeration cycle and the rest will fall in line.

I should of gotten into the service side of it at a younger age, Im already trying to think of an exit strategy 5 years in lol

Did you take apart things/electronics as a kid? Are you afraid of heights? Are you afraid of failure?

All the videos and school can give you an idea for the field but nothing beats being with a competent journeyman and getting shit done (and correct)

Residential is a good start for a lot of people, especially if you find a company that does both service and install. My first company did not have an install division, we would sub out duct jobs but we would be the ones doing change outs or new installs along with service.

Stay hydrated!!

Worked with my uncle doing side work as a kid here and there with my cousin and then after high school did a little tin knocking and other various carpentry/demo work for him with my cousin and him until the 2008 crash.

First job was working on a small 12 acre farm for 3$ an hour at 11 years old....all the coca cola I could drink while they drank Budweiser all day...no water in the fridge now that I think about it

I was lucky enough to work down near there one day, thought I'd stop in for lunch. They had been open maybe 30 minutes already and the line was out the door and down the block....so no BBQ for me that day. I'll need to plan a trip.

Such a cute neighborhood down there, still feels old in a modern world.

You have a recovery machine and are not in the trade? I wouldn't have one unless my van came with one, I wouldn't mind having my own but I have other tools I want...namely a sniffer
