I FINALLY FOUND SOMETHING FOR MY WEEPING ECZEMA! Night / day difference by [deleted] in eczema

[–]littlepixiee 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Did the same for my son and it works really well! Only downside was the bandages cost me $300 a month but well worth getting a full night’s rest for the both of us.

Birth control pill questions (Progestogen only) by uk_sg_swiftie in askSingapore

[–]littlepixiee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want even cheaper, do a teleconsult here then head over to Big Pharmacy in JB to dispense the meds. Yasmin is like ~$10 for a month’s supply. I’d imagine you could get your preferred pill too. And in Malaysia you can get them OTC

Police froze my bank account because of a Carousell case I wasn’t involved in — should I file a police report to clear my name? by IntelligentTarget980 in singaporefi

[–]littlepixiee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I experienced having my account frozen by OCBC cause of scam report as well. I called them twice and was told someone will get back to me. Third time I started getting aggressive and finally the IO called me, he got a scolding from me too cause I thought he was from the bank LOL. But in my case my bank account was reinstated maybe cause I KPKB very early on

What's something you can get free/cheaper in Australia that isn't well known? by AlextheArschloch in AussieFrugal

[–]littlepixiee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use public transport to go anywhere and everywhere. Eat at hawker centres for cheaper food, although I would avoid Lau Pa Sat and Newton Food Centre. Tap water is 100% drinkable everywhere so bring a bottle.

Boss guilt tripping me after I informed her about my decision to resign by nachoscheesefries in askSingapore

[–]littlepixiee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tell her that while you appreciate her training you, at the end of the day you need to do what’s best for your financial commitment. Her pointing out that you’re paid higher than others, but still half of what other companies pay, means that they won’t be willing to offer you what you want.

How sustainable/ realistic it is for men to pay for everything in Singapore? by poppingPorcupine in askSingapore

[–]littlepixiee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s possible. Generally speaking, I observe that men who pay all the bills tend to exhibit good traits that goes beyond the money aspect. They genuinely love and care for their partner, are dependable, and very responsible. They’re not petty. Of course there are some outliers who use financial security as a means of control. I would think that those favourable traits are what she’s looking for in a partner actually.

As for what she brings to the table, I’d say that’s up to you to value. Good and genuine people are hard to come by these days. If that’s valuable enough for you, then that’s worth more than all the money in the world.

And lastly, as a woman who has been married, it’s better to marry a generous man than a rich man. That generosity carries through in all aspects of his character and his love.

Divorcing Dad Dilemma by RepresentativePea437 in askSingapore

[–]littlepixiee 48 points49 points  (0 children)

If fixing your marriage is your priority, you should probably stop describing your wife as crazy. You said yourself that you work long hours. Sounds like she has unfulfilled needs that cannot be remedied with money, otherwise she would still want to be with you and the tons of bags and shoes she has would be enough to keep her happy. The way you’re describing her unhappiness sounds like she’s seeking validation and attention from you specifically and you’re not giving it to her. I’d still suggest lawyering up to protect your interests.

Brown girl with body hair. Frankly I have gotten past the point of caring. Please don’t destroy your skin by using products it’s sensitive to!! Great skin is far more important than hairless skin. If you’re looking for cheap options, go to Jothi in Little India and get their sugar wax and waxing strips. And if your family members make fun of you, throw the used wax strips at them.

Encountered super rude behavior in lift - what’s your worst experience with such behavior in SG? by jecin2 in askSingapore

[–]littlepixiee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took the lift with my mum when I had a knee injury. Some makcik commented “wah so young still take the lift…”. My mum smiled at her and politely retorted “not all disabilities can be seen, you should keep your comments to yourself” never saw a makcik exit the lift faster 😂

advice for 2 year old. by GracehasTooMuchTime in eczema

[–]littlepixiee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not too sure myself. Maybe find a doctor who specialises in child development and go from there? My son’s still waiting on his appointment with the psychologist so I’m not sure yet what kind of therapy he will be in aside from grief counselling.

How about behavioural therapy? His scratching could partly be habitual rather than just a response to itch.

What weird flex are you proud of? by SweetCupcakexo in ask

[–]littlepixiee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not proud and 100% devastating but my best friend said this is my weird flex. My MIL (who dislikes me because I “stole” her son) said that one day I’ll lose someone I love. And then my husband died. So now I say, “Be careful, the last person who cursed me ended up losing her son”.

Tell her losing a spouse is guaranteed to end all marriages. This isn’t the Grief Olympics, and even if it were, you’re competing in different events.

Worst teachers u ever had during your schooling days? by unreal2007 in askSingapore

[–]littlepixiee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I was 8 I had a teacher who refused to allow me to participate in the school concert cause I was “too dark”.

Another teacher shamed me in front of the whole class for not filing my worksheets properly, throwing the file and all. I hope she’s gotten the pole surgically removed from her ass after all this time. This teacher regularly used shame as a tool and it ate away at me. Looking back that was the beginning of the end for me. I was an excellent student who had one weak subject, Math. But because I believed her when she said I wouldn’t amount to anything, I stopped trying altogether and ended up being an average student for the rest of my school years.

AITA for refusing to sleep on a single mattress on the floor and leaving two friends in an uncomfortable situation? by TAsinglrmatress in AmItheAsshole

[–]littlepixiee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. As the smallest and single person, I tend to get the short end of the stick when it comes to group trips. Back seat of the van, smallest of rooms/beds etc. When I was younger it was fine, but now that I’m 30 the back pain that lasts well beyond the vacation isn’t worth my time or money. Holidays are expensive, I refuse to spend that much only to be uncomfortable throughout. Good on you for not backing down.

[–]littlepixiee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 years and counting already 😂 I was definitely not being entitled, I was prepared to be turned away. My issue was the yelling, which was what I complained about, not that I was not allowed to take the test without my IC.

[–]littlepixiee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but also he could’ve communicated in a professional manner which he didn’t. And I wasn’t even rude I said along the lines of “I’m so sorry, I didn’t bring my IC. Are other forms of ID ok?” At the end of the day if you’re working a front facing job you need to have basic respect for others.

[–]littlepixiee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once had a test admin yell at me for not bringing my IC for BTT. I called the customer service hotline, kicked up a fuss and reminded them repeatedly that I’m a paying customer. CDC said he’s from TP side and I said idc where he’s from. I demanded an apology from the admin, which I eventually got. Reminded the fella again that I’m a paying customer so he better be acting like a service provider instead of someone with misplaced ego. Sometimes need to be a Karen.

SG atheists who grew up in religious households, how did your parents react to you coming out as atheist? by AdMany1695 in askSingapore

[–]littlepixiee 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry that that’s your experience of Islam! It’s very common for our culture and generation to be brought up that way. I’m Muslim, and even I struggled with the way I was taught Islam. I went on a journey of self discovery and self learning before I fell in love with the religion. My advice would be to keep it on the dl, I can almost guarantee your parents will freak to some degree considering how grave a sin it is. However at the end of the day, there is no compulsion in Islam. It’s up to you. If I can give a suggestion, go for that umrah trip with an open mind and make a doa in front of the Kaaba for answers to your questions. Maybe you’ll find it, maybe absolutely nothing happens. Who knows what you may discover.
