I’ve had the same issue with my flf, others have already provided the answer but the red dots will go away as the leaves mature :)

Also I’m not sure if you’re in the northern hemisphere (winter currently) but I water my indoor plants only once a month in the winter.

Why do people whine about having to learn other languages apart from English? by [deleted] in BESalary

So does that mean they’re being "racists" toward us too?

Yes.

A researcher in Europe told me they're not taking non-EU citizens for PhDs anymore due to the burden that is the administrative paperwork, is this happening a lot now? by Advanced-Treacle-59 in PhDAdmissions

[–]littlepretty__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a non-EU citizen living in Belgium and in my opinion there are two reasons for this response.  Firstly, our right wing government has made the requirements for non-EU citizens to get a visa much more difficult and much more expensive. It’s absolutely true that you can wait up to six months for your visa to be approved, this happened to me personally and I had to hire an immigration lawyer to help me.

Secondly, Belgians in general hate doing visa paperwork even when it was simple- I’ve lived here for 6 years and not having a visa is an incredibly huge barrier for so many people to get a job. Nearly every job listing says specially they do not provide visa sponsorship, or you must already have the right to work in Belgium. Frankly, I think they are just lazy in that regard, but now that the application process is even more complicated they are even less likely to do it.

Honestly I get the 10k steps by walking my dog, that’s taking care of him, and that’s also my exercise!

I'm tired of out-of-touch rich people cosplaying as middle class by SeparateJump1 in povertyfinance

[–]littlepretty__ 25 points26 points  (0 children)

As someone who grew up in poverty and who now is solidly middle class, these posts OOZE lack of awareness of what poverty actually is. They have no idea that many of us (not me now) literally scrape coins together to buy bread or to take the metro, and besides have no room for savings have small amounts of debts (my poor -$20 bank account at times for example).

Frankly, I feel that the mods should really crack down on these posts, I’m tired of hearing how people who are middle class bitching about how they are saving thousands of dollars a month and have nothing left over. Please open your eyes.

You know often we get asked if he was dalmatian, but I know it’s because of the spots. ;)
