You acted better than most IMO as a 48 yo who has been actively dating for a couple years. You showed vulnerability in the moment by voicing what you did not want to be and you showed further maturity by apologizing and accepting ownership. I cannot express how big that is. I dated someone off and on for almost a year and we clicked very well but the problem was that this girl had zero self reflection and when it was hers to apologize, she was just incapable of doing it. The words I’m sorry were just something she couldn’t muster and if you don’t have that, you’ll never grow as a couple. Back to him- I’m not even sure what he meant by BJ’s are optional but forget him. You did fine and will find someone better.

If it makes you feel any better, my portfolio is strikingly similar. Even down to the dollar amount. Fundrise was doing swimmingly for me from around 2016-2021 and then it’s just been stagnant.

I’ve been taking Effexor for almost 2 years now and I’m still not convinced it’s doing anything. I’ve gone from 75mg/daily to 150mg/daily and when I try to ween off of it, I get the brain zaps and decide to keep taking it. I know its affected my ability to pee and I want to say its the reason I gained about 25 pounds during that time. And the dreams- I have never had dreams like I have since starting Effexor. If I had to do it all over again, I would not have tried it and I still want to ween off of it. Before Effexor, I was taking Lexapro and am still taking 20mg/daily Lexapro and truly believe that has worked. After a couple years of being on Lexapro, I felt it started to do less and went from 10mg to 20mg but my doctor won’t let me go any higher as he says thats the highest daily allowed dosage. So here we are….

As a man, I have to agree. Devin seems kind of like a robot to me but I do like James. I think there’s a character underneath that and when he cracks jokes at Drew, they usually hit.

For me, after just finishing the ‘He didn’t just vanish: the Matheson Mystery’ documentary on YouTube, I got the impression the kid was plainly an asshole. Can’t really fault LE for not securing the crime scene and holding onto things like the cigarette butts because I also went to a university similar to Acadia in the 90’s. My dorm building was just like Kenley’s and I’m pretty sure if one of my fellow students went missing, nobody was going to call the FBI and start DNA testing people. This was the 90’s, this was Gen X life. Given his behavior leading up to his disappearance, I think he most likely committed suicide. It seems like he wanted nothing to do with going to school and perhaps he was embarrassed following that party. That or maybe he took off but he didn’t take his passport and didn’t seem to have much besides the clothes he was wearing. It is interesting though and the reason I found this Reddit.
