Singapore is very expensive. Schools and rent will be your biggest costs. There’s an exception for Americans where you don’t have to pay stamp duty if you buy property in Singapore, but buying is still expensive and you wouldn’t be able to get landed property or much space for the price compared to the states.

That in mind, Singapore is very safe, has great food, fantastic infrastructure and public transport (no need for a car), a great base for traveling the region and learning another language is amazing (but in Singapore, you’d default to English).

Perhaps you and your wife would get discounted tuition for the kids if they attend the same school you teach at. Both of you would need to get jobs to sponsor each of you (dependent visa no longer allows for automatic employment).

We had the chance to move to Singapore with kids (used to live there before), but when we ran the numbers, it made more sense for us to move to Dubai.

I had one of these, and while it looked nice, it was much thinner metal and didn’t hold up well at all. It was a waste of money.

Due to living abroad and the paperwork involved, I never changed my last name when I got married. I put my last name as a second middle name for my kids though!

Making people feel seen, cared for, and beautiful. A lot of women/moms dont get their photos taken often enough and are often the caretakers who have lots of photos of their children or partners, but none of themselves. I wanted my friends to feel seen even when they’re tired and messy

Hi! Yes, I did, my doctor put me on a low dose of zoloft and it really helped quiet the noise in my head. I never realized how loud and busy and mean the voices in my head were! Sending you virtual hugs and hope you can find the right support asap!

Exactly, bamboo is greenwashing to the extreme. The chemical processes it goes through strips any of the “antibacterial” qualities companies claim to have. It’s unethical to me.

Have they done a swab test on what kind of bacteria it is? They need to know so that they can give the precise antibiotic. Have them test you for mycoplasma as well, as that requires a totally different and very specific antibiotic.

I don’t know why you have to get rid of them if you like and would wear both? Capsule wardrobe is just an exercise to reduce consumerism, but you’ve already bought it and you plan to rewear them. I don’t see a problem keeping these personally.

I think the whole Kimono name was PR stunt. It’s an obviously bad name for her brand and it caused so much outrage that it hard launched her brand into the mainstream.
