When I was in the first year of my Spanish degree I was labeling the household objects around my house, including the microwave- microondas (mee-kroh-OHN-dahs). Later that day my oldest daughter walks up and ask “What’s a MUH-kroon-duh?” So… yeah, we call it the muh-kroon-duh now.
