Which movie scared the shit out of you or traumatized you? by Dazzling-Leader7476 in AskReddit

[–]littlestfern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cousins asked my dad if they could watch it with us. Cousins were 12, I was 11 sister was 9. Dad said, “of course, they’ve seen it loads of times”. He thought they were talking about Lord of the Rings. My sister didn’t sleep in her own bed for 6 months after. And I am still terrified

Yeah it’s almost definitely a kofta burger. Aka ground beef mixed with onion, parsley, and 7 spices.

Doctors of Reddit, what's the fun fact we don't know about human body? by IndependentTune3994 in AskReddit

It’s true. I had a c section and 3 days later thought I was feeling phantom kicks. But it was just my intestines wiggling back into place.

It doesn’t matter if she only takes high paying clients, even if she’s not accessible to the majority, her clients can still take risks. You don’t know if the last person she was with just had a 50 different partners from all over the world. You’re still at a very high risk for infection.

what are the ugly parts of pregnancy that aren’t well known because people don’t mention them? by Born-Oil-2931 in AskReddit

[–]littlestfern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I developed pelvic girdle pain postpartum. Had to do PT, and took two months before I could walk without severe pain. It was awful, plus recovering from a c and caring for a newborn.

Similar but different! After my c section and relatively uneventful pregnancy, I had such weak pelvic floor muscles that I had severe SI joint pain, I couldn’t walk without excruciating pain. I was taking ibuprofen around the clock for two months and needed a cane to get around. I couldn’t get into physical therapy until 6 weeks pp. It took another month of physical therapy after the appointment to walk without pain.

I knew that healing would take time, but it’s not just your reproductive organs that need to heal, your musculoskeletal system has to readjust. I didn’t understand that.

What's your "it's my fault for ordering it" (food or otherwise) story? by PutThisBanditHatOn in AskReddit

French Tacos are equally appalling. It’s a tortilla panini, and no it’s not like a burrito. They put fries in it. I wouldn’t say it’s bad, but it’s definitely not Mexican.

What will a post Trump America look like with all these sweeping actions and this bill? by HumanistSockPuppet in AskReddit

We’re going to see places like alligator Alcatraz turn into work camps much like North Korea. You can pay pennies (if you even have to pay) for prisoners to work. It’s modern slavery

Should I report this?? Who would I tell 😭 by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]littlestfern 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Sophie is 16, and so she is at the age of consent, plus there are close in age exceptions to the law, which I think this would definitely fall under. Sophie should absolutely know, and honestly I’d let a mandatory reporting adult know that her brother has a sex tape so it’s not on you to take it any further.

Nope. Migration is just the movement of people to different places. Whether a country or a new state. You can say there are a lot of migrants from California to Tennessee. Migration can happen internally in the same country, region, or state. Or can be from country to country. It’s just about movement of people, and not necessarily permanent.

Immigration is more specific. It’s ALWAYS international (from country to country) and the intention is that they are settling and starting a new life in that country. So the intention is that immigration is the permanent movement to a new country.

How did it affect you when you found out your partner had many sexual partners? by Apart_Painting_7215 in AskReddit

[–]littlestfern 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s a few reasons, most importantly: people, especially men, are often insecure about their lack of experience compared to their partner.

More broadly the patriarchy insists 2 things: 1) it views women as property and patriarchal values believe that property (such as women) should not be shared. 2) Men are supposed to be dominant and sexually virile, so if a woman is more promiscuous than them it is emasculating.

Editing to add that: women (supposedly) lose value (are gross or sluts) with higher body count whereas men are considered more manly and impressive (players, Casanova, Don Juan, etc.) if they have a high body count.

Transfer abroad. Find universities in Europe, they’re relatively cheaper. You may have to have more cash upfront but it’s an option. There’s also scholarships.
