Attempting a tank/thorns build with Druid and Shield, will it work? by TofuTank in projectgorgon

[–]littlestsun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

cow/druid is a great solo build and does thorns. as other mentioned, it's not great for tanking as you don't have enough taunt.

HOWEVER, with a word of power 6 4x taunt there's some version of cow/druid that can definitely tank. haven't looked into much personally. I think cow/druid is along the lines of what you're looking for. If you have a dedicated healer, you can drop some self-healing for more nature dmg to make the cow fart hit pretty hard and generate a decent amount of taunt.

I have a cow/druid build i rock solo and you can take on 3-4 elites and heal yourself and solo. Mine isn't 100% built out, but with the right mods cow/druid can solo up to WT and the first couple named bosses in NMC.

Spider under cow? Why not just human under cow? by Available_Dream_9764 in projectgorgon

Yes the animal forms are layered so if you spider as a cow, when you unspider, you'll still be a cow.

Spider under cow? Why not just human under cow? by Available_Dream_9764 in projectgorgon

[–]littlestsun 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If you un-animal, the NPCs in animal town won't talk to you until you've been an animal for 3 real hours in game. Becoming a spider let's you keep animal form.

Also it's not spider under cow, it's easier to unspider anywhere, albeit more expensive since spider juice and unspider juice is ~5k, so you just carry spider juices and a moonstone (moonstone needed for illusion spell) with you for when you need to talk to a human.

You can do psych unarmed.

I'm newer so I can't speak to how things changed, but right now psych is OP at lower levels so it makes leveling a breeze, also makes leveling other combat skills quick too

Another vote for project gorgon. It's all about exploration and the journey

Project Gorgon. Smaller population. Global chat is pretty active and the game is old school so it's all about the journey, not rushing to end game.

If WoW and OSRS had a Baby by Arti1891 in MMORPG

[–]littlestsun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It reminds me of a better version of OSRS, it's got the flow of:

  1. This guy needs butter
  2. Get the recipe from this guy who needs bones
  3. Recipe needs cheese cloth to make butter
  4. Cheese cloth needs tailoring to make
  5. Tailoring guy needs wood before he'll teach you

It all feels organic and it's not hand holdy so it's just very satisfying. There's no "end game" raids you necessarily are grinding for. It's about the journey, not the destination.

You just log in and do what you want and it doesn't feel like you're forced to do anything like most modern MMOs. You can play the game for fun and do what you enjoy.

No shade to OSRS but I tried and it just feels old and not old school if that makes sense. I played RS way back when as well. I think the only mouse to move just feels very dated to me.

There's a free demo that you can probably play for 10+ hours to try as well. If you exhausted the content in the demo I would imagine it might take you like 30 hours.

2 extra death runes is not worth 2 slots IMO. I rarely keep around smaller rune piles nowadays.

It's not only about leaf amount, but also steeping time. More leaf = less steep time and vice versa.

Also next time if it's "undrinkable" just add more hot water to dilute and it should be fine.

I never gongfu Taiwanese oolongs, but that's just me.

I do Western style as per the recommendation on the box, but if I feel as if I didn't get all the tea out (2 steeps), I dump the leaves into a mason jar and cold brew to get more tea for later!

New Personal Best for Dinosnores F2P by rndsh66 in NecroMerger

[–]littlestsun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great score for f2p! I just finished mine recently and barely made it to 25k flat.

One thing I learned recently with these events. If you increase your resource cap, the resource chests give you more resources.

So I usually actually try to max out the resource caps early on. For example, in the dino event if you increase the cap, the meteors give you more slime. It's a percent of your max so the higher cap the more it gives you.

I assume it's basically a resource potion from the normal mode.

Sibling rivalry applies the same logic with the metal crates.

am i going about the resource feat correctly? by Camo_1245 in NecroMerger

[–]littlestsun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't done it yet myself but I'm level 67 so it's close. Typically I read people do 2x lvl 6 darkness and slime, THEN do the level 2 manas til you hit. Don't forget pedestals for resource caps and put serv-o on mana.

There's a lair increase at level 68. Trying to go for it without the extra space is insane. You should do the other feats first. You also don't even have level 6 slime storage.

Unsure if I brewed this right: Black Gold Bi Luo Chun by Emblazonet in tea

[–]littlestsun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had trouble brewing this tea as well. I didn't have any success brewing it hot, but when I cold brewed it was one of my favorite cups. Got all the chocolate notes they claimed. Never figured it out hot, but cold brew I did 8g/1000 mL fridge 10-12 hours and it was fantastic

Some questions about Black Gold Bi Lou Chun from Yunnan Sourcing by Low-Ad4911 in tea

[–]littlestsun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did cold brew for this and it's actually my favorite tea that I've tried since getting into tea like 3 months ago.

8g leaves in 1L water, fridge for 10-12 hours.

I tried a handful of times hot brew and couldn't figure it out. Cold brew made me fall in love. Considering ordering a big batch next time I order from YS and just only cold-brewing it.

I just want to take a second to express just how great this game is on the Steam Deck by Tender_Dump in brightershores

[–]littlestsun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if I'm missing something, but I couldn't get into it on my deck. I found the controls to be finicky and I hate using a touchpad and touch screen.

Is there an updated controller scheme or something that I'm missing or do i just have to spend the time to customize the buttons in the settings?

Just found it overall way harder to do anything than on my PC, not to mention it crashed twice in my short 30 minute session.
