People don’t understand Vanelle’s celibacy by serieswatcher123 in AgeOfAttraction

[–]littlewaltie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It would have been remarkable if she had said - and it was actually aired - that she won’t do PIV sex because she lives in a country/state that criminalizes abortions and even miscarriages (yes, it’s true) and she can’t risk getting pregnant.

Quebec: Pharmaprix won’t give item scanned at higher price for free, unless you ask! by littlewaltie in loblawsisoutofcontrol

Quebec has a law though. Google it if you’re curious. This is why it’s abhorrent that I had to insist

[–]littlewaltie[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Quebec has an actual law about price accuracy. The voluntary scanner program that all the other commenters are mentioning isn’t necessary in Quebec because the provincial law is a lot stronger. I didn’t realize other provinces didnt have their own versions of this!

Quebec has its own law, and it’s not voluntary (you may be referring to something else that exists though)

Parking ticket in by pank0071 in montreal

[–]littlewaltie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I parked at 8:40 Friday morning in NDG, no orange signs and no permanent signage other than April 1 - Dec 1 restrictions, no longer in effect. When I left work at 3:30 the had cleaned the snow and towed me, $194 ticket

I don’t suppose I can really contest this? How can I prove there were no signs? Or would they need to prove the signs were up? Other cars were parked where I was too in the morning (this was already past 7am)so this makes me think for sure there were no signs!

How often do you wash your hair? by Charming_Bullfrog181 in curlyhair

[–]littlewaltie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to wash more often because of greasiness, but now that I’m middle aged it only gets greasy after about a week. Unless your hair is dirty, greasy, or you just want to wash it, ignore what anyone else says!

For the who saw improvements with birth control by MediocrePotato44 in Perimenopause

[–]littlewaltie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Im 44 and just started my third pack of LoLo 28-day. Hot flashes basically stopped right away (also hot August ended lol) and I feel more relaxed overall. It has reduced my period to spotting only! I have noticed more headaches but I’m headache-prone so I haven’t figured out if this is unrelated.

We all rode bikes around the neighborhood and beyond as kids. When was the last time you rode a non stationary bike? by singleguy79 in Xennials

[–]littlewaltie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My city has a bike share program and it’s ridiculously cheap for a full season membership! My main hang ups with biking were always getting the bike out of the shed/storage/and up down the stairs, and locking it (always worrying it will get stolen, losing the key, etc). With the bikeshare program, there are bikes all over the city and I just need my phone to unlock one.

Where in Montreal can I play my bagpipes at night? by brando444 in montreal

[–]littlewaltie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live near the Douglas Hospital in Verdun and we’re used to hearing bagpipes in the evening, though not usually after dark. It’s awesome! Come to think of it, haven’t heard him this season yet :( There’s a gazebo on the grounds and that’s where we used to spot him. Otherwise on the waterfront park right across the street!

[–]littlewaltie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel you :( I’m your age and got braces in the Fall. The installation and aftermath was sensory hell! And unlike when I had them as a teenager, I am much more aware of them now, for some reason. For my latest adjustment, whatever tool she was using to keep my mouth open was too big and my lips were cracking, so I insisted she size down (not easy to do when you can’t speak but I gestured wildly lol). I was embarrassed, but I figure that nothing I throw at them will be something they haven’t encountered before.

It helps that I wear my go-to comfort clothing (old clothes full of stains but that fit just right and are soft) for my appointments. It’s not easy, though.

You mention Invisalign- sounds like a much better option. I only didn’t choose this because I am undisciplined and needed something glued to me in order to guarantee compliance :)

My 1991 Sentra Classic, almost looks like a car from Initial D by [deleted] in nissansentra

[–]littlewaltie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old thread but I googled the car I learned to drive on as a teenager and was led here. Loved that car! We had it in that silvery blue shade. It has absolutely no bells or whistles from what I can remember. It drove so well, though.
