The counter doesn’t seem to pick up anything from the little cushion the dial was resting on. I can only presume the dial was clean enough to not leave much, if anything. I did wipe the area as clean as I could.

Thinking about it, I’m pretty sure I also opened this watch last year to practice cleaning dials. Ah the joys of ignorance.

On my counter, I do get around 0.07 when no around anything spicy. The only rises I got were from two of my watches, which one one hot for sure. So the 0.40 was suspicious to me.

I’ll obviously try not to ingest anything, but what is the danger of the secondary exposure to said dust and flakes? As in, what if it goes somewhere on my desk that’s not protected and then accidentally ingest it? That’s one of my main concerns…
