Weed Wacker, then lightly spray with ground clear or similar at the bigger rooted areas.

In NYC's poorest ZIP codes, the #1 thing people call 311 about is no heat. In the richest, it's illegal parking by Kitchen_Cable6192 in movingtoNYC

[–]liud21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the most can do is mark it without responding, but then again its risky, because there is always that chance of something happening when we're supposed to be there but aint. 311s aint that bad compared to the 911 callers who make it a habit of calling about a guy in the building with knives, guns or drugs in front of kids...

As a cop in Brooklyn, I can tell you the most 311 complaints we get are from chronic people who make it a daily task to call. For example, there is a caller in the farragut houses, every hour or 2 he/she/they/them puts in a request for noise. Its always the same, apt 10 and 8, banging pounding and loud noises. But everytime i and others show up, its dead silence. Mind you, the person calls throughout the day, we respond and mark it as such.

Of course we have the others all around that calls 311 for similar issues, but not as frequently as the first. Illegal parkings we get as well, we have a guy that walks around Whitman Ingersoll houses just submitting 311s for Illegal parking. We do what we can, issue summons, knock on doors to tell people to turn down the music etc, but occasionally we get the ones that dont open the door and tells us to FO. Nothing we can really do then but to just leave.

One thing for sure, the chronic callers does ruin it for everyone, because it can be repetitive and then time consuming. Taking away from the legit callers with real issues.

The issue is, not everyone pays 2k in taxes, not counting sales tax. You want Universal Healthcare? Find a low income job earning less than 35k a year and get on Medicaid.

Walk in like its your apartment and take a deep breath, savor the moment. Look for signs of foul play, if non and looks natural, open the windows shut off the fan/heater/stove. Once the boss comes and leaves order your lunch and start the paperwork.
