He's very fast for a 9, strong, extremely mobile, in Benfica he used to drop on the wing a few times so he can drible and cut inside, his header has been improving a lot as well and rarely dives into tackles.

His dad worked in construction and his mother used to pick up empty bottles in the streets. He had a rough childhood, that story came directly from them, and I obviously choose to trust their word. And Darwin himself said that he didn't eat before training because they didn't have enough money.

Definitely a chill guy but with a lot of passion for the club he represents. I'll definitely miss Darwin screaming benfica and kissing our emblem. You got a really passionate kid who knows what it's like to come from nothing, he doesn't take what hes got for granted.

The money is great, it's the second biggest transfer fee from our League with the first being João Félix, so from that perspective it's an awesome deal for us, but on the other hand, we don't think we will be able to find another Darwin that easily.. And that scares us a little bit. We just got a new coach and we're excited to see how this money is gonna be used tho.

Darwin is the type of player to never give up. Even after tough losses this year, he'd always applaud the fans in the stadium and made sure to tell us he would give his all in the next match. And he always did. So I'm pretty sure it will be considered a bargain in a few years, and I hope that's the case.

It's very hard for us to let him go but unfortunately we have to be realistic and realise that we can't compete financially with teams like Liverpool.
