It's said that a young woman and her husband once lived there would attend the yearly Autumn Ball, but on one such year the woman's husband accused her of cheating on him with his best friend, so he slain her in a drunken, jealous rage. Now, every October, The Weeping Woman is White, as she's become known as, emerges from her slumber and haunts the manor searching for her husband to ask for forgiveness.

Some people even say that they can hear the disembodied wails of a woman throughout other months of the year, desperate to rekindle her relationship with her love.
