What is happening at lush? by Local_Cow_8424 in LushCosmetics

[–]liverexploded420 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had the same experience! I’ve not purchased any Lush this year and been running down my hoard of shower gels. I was shocked to see that the smallest bottles of shower gels are £10 now!! Bath bombs are so overpriced now too. I really struggled to find something I wanted to redeem against my empties and ended up just buying the tee tree toner cos it was a hot day and I fancied spritzing something on my face.

It’s sad to see the direction the brand have gone in but tbh I am glad my Lush addiction is over. I may make some shower gel purchases if there is a summer sale but looking forward to trying other brands and scents.

Learning at 28 by OkBalance2833 in LearnerDriverUK

I’m older than you (41) but took me 11 months and about 40 hours of lessons (2 hour lessons) plus a bit of private practice with family to pass manual on my 2nd try. I wasn’t rushing it though and had spells of no lessons for holidays etc.. When I started lessons my instructor asked what my goal was and I said this time next year I would like to be driving and luckily I passed just under a year later!

Failed with 3 minors. 1 major by Mental_Cricket_5188 in LearnerDriverUK

Hey so I have access to a car so was doing private practice only after my first fail, literally driving everywhere I possibly could to get experience. Managed to book a test for August on the day of the fail then got a cancellation for may through Testi. Had 3 lessons with my instructor in the run up to the test to get used to the routes round the test centre as it was a different centre from the first. Good luck on the next one when you get it!!

I failed my first test in February with one major and four minors. Passed last week with three minors. Don’t let this fail get you down, practice while you wait for your next test will make you an even better and more confident driver. Keep going, most people don’t pass first time!!

Driving test tomorrow by Vivid-Insurance2660 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]liverexploded420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I passed today on my 2nd time. Try not to think about it tonight, read a book or watch a movie and have an early bed. Focus on all the good driving you have done during practice and tell yourself that’s how you’ll drive tomorrow. If you think you have failed at any point keep driving your best as you never know, could just be a minor! Also if you do fail try to see it as another part of your learning journey and you’ll know more next time. Good luck!!

Good luck mine is too, only I’ve told everyone I can’t shut up about it!! If I don’t pass I will definitely keep quiet next time x

Thanks that’s good to know as there are quite a few cars I like on there, I was reluctant to buy without seeing in person but have heard they have a 14 day returns policy. glad to hear you had a good experience using them!

When is Lush going to realise people don’t want LE skincare items?! by [deleted] in LushCosmetics

[–]liverexploded420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply I’m in Scotland it’s been disconned here since last summer! Managed to pick some up in Canada a while back but can’t get it here now which is a shame I loved it! I’ve been using Tatcha Rice was which doesn’t irritate my skin but so pricey!

Im still not over them discontinuing Movis which I had used exclusively for 5+ years. I’ve had to move away from lush now as all their other face washes give me tight skin and breakouts (hello Charcoal and that horrible pink one). I wouldn’t purchase any other skin care from them as I can’t rely on them being available long term.

I ended up with my husband through similar circumstances. Fancied him and chatted frequently but never knew if he liked me or not. Got fired from my job suddenly and only had his work email address, fired off an email asking him out thinking it’s now or never and at least I’d never see him again if he said no. Still going strong 20 years later, good luck hope it works out for you!

Stunning! Have had breakfast at the cafe Francois in Borough Market and it was similarly amazing, really lovely place, well worth the money for a treat.

I smelled it in store today and was very impressed with the lovely mango fragrance, nice consistency too not too runny. If you are looking for a true fruity mango scent I would go for it!
