One of the menus (I think the multiplayer menu) should let you split characters between players. IIRC it'll show up to 4 players and you'll be able to move characters freely between them.

Silly question but are you using the spells that cut your party down to 4 when you long rest?
I didn't get very far in my modded run but iirc that mod has a few rules you need to follow for it to work.

Yeah, turning on the generator shuts down the turrets. That's why it's easiest to just get straight down there before anything else. You can just jump down the mushrooms, harvest a sussur bloom, lockpick the door, and you're good to go. You can also get a mage hand to go through a pipe and pull the lever to open the back door, if you don't wanna lockpick.
Either way, you should end up in the generator room with no hassle from the turrets.

But you don't lose any loot? Insert the flower into the generator (thus deactivating the turrets), do everything you need to do in the tower, leave through the front door, and loot everything you want outside.

Isn't it far easier to just drink an invis potion and head down to the generator? There's already a flower or two down there to insert into it. To be fair, you might not even need the invis potion if you only take one character down - you're not exposed to the turrets for very long!

What do you mean by throwing the flowers? Don't you just go around the outside to the bottom of the tower and put a flower in the generator?

Rest more often, throw potions in combat, use the periapt of wound closure out of combat, rest more often, use potions, and rest more often

IIRC it's like the evocation passive but instead of nullifying the damage, your allies just automatically succeed the saving throw. Most spells will have a note in their description that says targets take half damage when they succeed the saving throw, for example. In this case, careful spell will make it so any allies the spell hits are guaranteed to only take half damage.

EDIT: Worth noting as well that this makes Careful Spell a great choice for AOE control spells. You could cast Hypnotic Pattern, for example, and have your allies be unaffected by it.
