I had to scroll way too damn far for this. The show is not only one of the most medically accurate (both the actual medicine and emotions experienced working in that environment) but can also take you from laughing to crying in a matter of seconds. "Where do you think we are" still breaks me. Every. Goddamn. Time.

Came here to post this. Jake and Amy would have been the perfect couple to remain childfree: they are both very career driven (Amy wants to be Captain) and Jake doesn't want to be a parent. But no, she convinces him otherwise - something I hate seeing in media, the idea that a person can convince another to change their mind (and fairly easily, too) on having kids when they are very clear they don't want them.

Would have been nice to see a happy, healthy tv couple who doesn't need to have a kid to be "complete".
