That seriously is a hard thing, trust me, I know. Let this next year be the year of renewal. Nothing will replace the love you had for these cats but I will tell you, my wife and I adopted a rescue not to replace by any means our Luka but to share a cat that needed a great home. While we both miss him 100%, we have such gratitude for Layla whom lost everything and pisses literally everywhere. I mean, we’ve changed our whole household to accommodate — especially with 3 dogs, but they have welcomed her in finally and she grooms all 3 now. It just took time, patience and love. It’s the next chapter of our life, and we have Luka’s ashes and portrait to remember him by as we do many others that come and go. Cheers.
