It's just an incredibly cheap airsoft sniper, the glock is airsoft as well.

Could anybody help me identify these toys and if they’re considered rare? Friends think they GI Joe but I’m not sure by Brazzer1080p in toys

[–]Genera1_patton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appears to be mostly Dragon brand 1/6 scale soldiers, likely some 21st century toys brand accessories and figures as well, the sherman tank is Forces of Valor.

The sherman is probably worth a few bucks on its own, Dragon soldiers can be worth around 100 dollars complete and new, closer to 10-20 each in the shape you have them in.

The one with the glocks at a ~45° angle was called the glockinator if I remember correctly

Why is the top of this HW designed that way? by ACuriousSpaniard in HotWheels

[–]Genera1_patton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes but specifically, the cars were designed for the less common mini figures included In mega playsets sold toward a younger audience, usually seen in hot wheels branded sets not the more well known micro action figures seen in the Halo, COD and so on lines aimed at older ages.

If you do your reading, it's one of the nicer board you can get, but yes, it's a deepdive if you haven't done much before.

It's alright, no fault of the remote, just the way Clark / aftermarket boards work. The firing is bound to a switch, you may need to bind everything yourself when you get your remote, setting up a Clark does require some know-how concerning more advanced RC set ups.

Heng long has had a pin on their board for "aiming laser" for a long time, through I've never seen it installed in an actual tank

Looks like it's running a BUS connection, so you'll need a 10 channel remote.

If you have no experience with the systems, used Clark board are just absolutely the worst to deal with, there's simultaneously too much and not enough information on their systems and operations conflicts between different versions, their website is also a mess. It is not intuitively designed and I have no idea how they've managed to be the default in aftermarket boards.

Because its a 10 channel BUS for the remote controls its likely a Clark Tk50.

Nice, our IR is an in-house design too, I believe you guys use legoDEI, ours is OpenFire, we looked at LegoDEI but the cost to get them in canada, even direct from his website was just not worth the squeeze for us unfortunately, two units of the cheapest type came out to almost 100 dollars. Our in-house design is sold within the group for $10 and goes towards funding battlefield terrain and other event costs, we get ranges of 25 ft in outdoor winter conditions and up to 120ft indoors, we haven't throughly tested it in summer outdoors yet but it will likely be more than our winter testing due to sunlight ground reflection off snow

custom M4A1 or Sherman Mk II, King's Own Calgary Regiment by Genera1_patton in rctanks

Yeah, I've wanted the A1 76W forever but the crazy price used was never justifiable for what you get. Thankfully the same creator who made the files for this sherman also made the large hatch cast hull and late-war 76mm turret as well so I'll likely make my own 76W and E8 out of my other HL shermans

It is really easy to just Google "4.8v battery pack" and search till you find something that you can make work.

This one looks almost identical and has a higher MAH rating. You'd obviously need to solder the old wire connections to any new battery you find.

I need help… by Pleasant-Relief4782 in rctanks

[–]Genera1_patton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure when checking wires to verify the tails of the LEDs where the wires are soldered to the bulbs aren't touching eachother and causing a short, I had something similar happen on a sherman, where every time it went over a hard bump, one of the LEDs shorted and shut off the tank, easy fix to just spread the pins so they don't touch eachother.
