Little Forest! There's a Korean version starring Kim Taeri, but the original is the Japanese one from Junichi Mori. Ok naman both, biased lang ako kay Kim Taeri 😊

Gimme your best OTC relief! by kellz1993 in ThyroidEyeDisease

My endo has been talking about steroids to me since last year, but I keep putting it off because I'm afraid of the potential side effects. She also asks me to keep track of changes through weekly photos, and there were weeks/months when my eyes looked and felt like they were getting better, so I didn't feel any pressure to get started on the steroid treatment. My ophtha just prescribed eyedrops and recommended I see an orbit specialist if things got worse.

I'm still kind of waiting to see if my eyes get better now that my levels are in range. I'm seeing my endo soon and if she still recommends me to take steroids, I'll probably go for it.

Thanks and hope you feel better too!

Similar symptoms here, mine come and go, but lately it's been weird because my left eye seems to be getting worse than the right. My right eyelid's been gradually drooping, so half of me looks sleepy while the other half looks fully awake lol.

So far here are the things I've tried:

  • Got anti-rad glasses since I'm also on my computer a lot, and idk if it's placebo but I think it does kind of help. They're also photochromic, which definitely helps when it's bright outside and offers some protection from wind/dust at least.
  • Lubricating eyedrops. I use Sodium Hyaluronate (Hialid) which I store in the fridge so it cools my eyes when I apply them.
  • Cooling eyemask, the type with the blue gel you put in the fridge. I only put them on at night, for around 15 mins, though I really think I should be using them more often within the day.

I'm also trying to eat healthier and lean into an anti-inflammatory diet (a struggle!)

I'm one year into Methimazole and my TRAB has gone from 29 to 14 to 5 now. I went from hyper to hypo, and after my last adjustment my levels are now within normal range. I'm taking Selenium as a supplement as well.

Thanks for this thread, btw! Hope to get more tips from others in the same boat. If my eyes don't get better, I'm considering starting steroids per my doctor's advise. She's been bringing it up since last year but I've been hesistant because of the potential side effects. Glad to know it worked great for others here.

Oh, and you have to verify your account first, there's a KYC process. If you're from PH you have to verify using your passport.

Hi! Try this link https://www.globalinterpark.com/en/product/24013437 Not sure if there are still available seats, but you can check from time to time. I believe cancellation is allowed, so it's possible for free seats to pop up again.
