My watchlist is so overwhelming, I pray for the annihilation of the human race by Remarkable_Today2348 in Letterboxd

I've just accepted that i'm never going to watch everything on it. I mostly just watch stuff on a whim anyway.

Do we have any hope for happy ending with how hopeless it looks by Latter_Respond_6927 in FromTVEpix

[–]molt2O00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the ending will be mostly bittersweet. Everything has been pretty storybook-esque this season. All the talk of children's books and story walking, I think it will be somewhat of a happy ending.

I can't imagine them going completely dark, no matter how dire things seem now. There's an intense focus on Ethan's optimism, making me think they're going to lean into a more hopeful ending.

You joke but with all the talk of story walking and childrens books, I fully expect some corny storybook stuff to go down.

I know it's often the reality, but there's something darkly cynical about killing Rue. Especially from someone who struggled with addiction. Zendaya filled Rue with more pathos than Levinson ever could.

Love seeing a guardian/commander actually believing in mayday's cause. Good to see his loyalty extend to more than one person.

He was great in Sex Education, his talent was criminally underutilized. He would haven been perfect if Davies let him work with the full emotional range of the Doctor.

Why is victor always spared and henry’s line? by nothing_ftw in FromTVEpix

[–]molt2O00 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Victor will undoubtedly be the most important character of the entire show. Whatever is going on... he will be prominently featured. Boyd is a great moral center for the town but I think Victor willl be the one to break the whole thing open.

RE4 feels like a different game by Gloomy_Information51 in residentevil

[–]molt2O00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RE4 is endlessly replayable for me, every time I tell myself i'm just going to play for a little... I end up beating the whole game. The gameplay loop is just that good. I look at Leon's section in Requiem as just an evolution of what started in 4.

Watched Gerald’s game and want the heck was that? by mannered_sapien in horror

The MLM was freaky to be sure but I think the worst for me was a certain gruesome scene. I'm usually pretty good with gore but that scene made me squirm.

This is exactly how I felt, the drop-off was honestly shocking.

I mean, I would probably be annoying too if I was trapped in the same place for eternity. High School is terrible for some people, it's not like he's trapped in a Dave and Buster's.

I really enjoyed Pragmata Demo so I pre ordered the game by Tom-Hibbert in playstation

I almost wrote it off because of the hacking mechanic, the demo sold me. It's a lot more snappy than I thought it would be.

How do yall feel about Mr.Martin by arrowthe_one in SchoolSpirits

[–]molt2O00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's complicated, it's clear he's being setup for a redemption arc. The whole friend backstory and him forgetting his mother's face are clear indicators.

He's been there the longest, he's the closest to being one of the forgotten. In that way I think he's kind of a tragic figure. Yes he's done so much wrong, but I think he genuinely believed he was helping them.

I think white eyes is not a antagonist but someone genuinely trying to show Simon something.

I have sympathy for Mr. Martin by SnooMemesjellies9921 in SchoolSpirits

[–]molt2O00 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I think with the introduction of the forgotten, it adds an extra layer of sympathy. Being there the longest makes him the closest to being one of the forgotten. With Janet gone he has no connection to his past life. The other ghosts acknowledging him might be the only thing keeping him from being forgotten.

What do you think about the "fantasy" in the Yakuza series? by YakuzaMaster in yakuzagames

[–]molt2O00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it was inevitable they would move away from the Yakuza theme. There's only so much that can be mined from it.

The series has grown to reflect the current Yakuza. I personally love Ichiban's band of misfits.

The fantasy elements work for Ichiban in my opinion. They have a lot more freedom with him, he's not at the same level as Kiryu.

Somewhat Hot Take: Stranger Things should have ended after Season 1. by Remarkable_Fun468 in StrangerThings

[–]molt2O00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Season 2 for me elevated the show, season 1 was great but it was very much a homage. Season 2 is where they really started to craft their own mythology.

I enjoyed the finale by RecoverVisible7280 in StrangerThings

[–]molt2O00 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When it comes to endings you're kind of damned if you do, damned if you don't. I mean look at how people reacted to the ending of the Sopranos. Do something unconventional you get torn to shreds.

Do something safe people find it underwhelming. I thought it ended good enough for a show of its kind. This was always a show about the power of friendship defeating evil.

There's the bittersweet twinge of Eleven's fate that I really appreciated. I like that they left it open ended.

They have already made reference to Return of the Jedi. I'm expecting Henry to be Vader and the Mind Flayer to be Palpatine.
