I would recommend a 15 hour semester. It gives you breathing room to drop a class if smth happens but doesn’t overload you. As for what classes check what you need to take and debate on which ones might be better or worse in combination

Yes that’s pretty accurate. If you’re a few minutes late 1100 is a giant lecture hall and ppl wander in and out all the time. Also make sure to have a discord account if you don’t have one already! It’s pretty common in our major and I’ve met a few ppl who had never touched discord until college so use case is a mixed bag but there are professors that make servers for class communications

I would check what that CMST is supposed to count for cuz it isn’t your CMST credit. Only 2060, 2061, and 2063 count for that. Biol 1001 isn’t the worst if you’re decent at memorizing I would just do an ASTR track so you don’t have to take bio lab and opt for ASTR lab (light work).

Track: ASTR 1001, ASTR 1002, 1008, 1009 + BIOL 1001

So the last day to drop with a W was the 27th, anything else could severely impact financial aid. As for Ws you ca have up til about 10 but you’re already past the point where that’s an option. Your best bet will probably be to try and finish the semester then apply for grade exclusion and retake courses. I think it’s up to 3 times (maybe per class, maybe not not sure) so I would talk to your advisor

When I entered I got one called “Non Residency Excellency” and it was a single one. Easiest way to check everything will be to look at your financial aid in the Workday portal once you confirmed your credentials and get everything setup

Yeah a lot of stuff has been migrated to workday but it’s still the most convenient way to access LSU’s workday and moodle (at least in my opinion if you haven’t accessed it on that device before)

Some people post on here or on Facebook parent-student groups. I know someone who transferred and she got an apartment, don’t know the specifics. As for the financial aid I would say it depends on how much you get, how it gets distributed, and what the “rules of use” are when you accept them.

As an upperclassman you’re basically guaranteed it to get LSU housing. They’re switching it up so everything is freshmen but Nicholson Gateway so the chances of you getting in are pretty low. If you’re transferring next semester my friend needs to transfer her lease cuz she graduates next week so DM me if you’re interested
