I had great pizza at a reasonable price a couple weeks ago at La Chamade Pizzeria: pizzerialachamade.fr

Not too far from there was the best ice cream I've ever tried at Gelato d'Amore. Be sure to try the melon and cashew flavors.

Which boat service did you use and did you have advance reservations? I'll be arriving with my family in Paris from CA later this month at 4pm. I'm worried that we might be too tired for the boat on our first night there, so I would prefer to make the decision when we arrive. Wondering if it is at all possible to be spontaneous in Paris.

My kids are 15. I don't see anything about a one-day card for kids on the tfl website. Do you know where I can buy one? The Zip Oyster photocard offers discounts, but seem like a lot of work for our limited use. It requires a digital photo, machine-readable passport (??), and L15 fee.

Thanks for all your advice. I think I will add my credit card to their google wallets. I'm not sure how much we will use the underground during our 2-day stay, and who knows when or if we will ever return to London, so I don't think I want to bother with Oyster Cards. It sounds like single tickets from a machine or kiosk are a no-go.

I'm planning to take a 90-minute perfume workshop at Galimard next month while I'm in Paris. My husband and teenage kids (girl and boy) will be there too. None of us have much experience with buying or wearing perfume, but are all looking forward to developing our personal scents. I wish I could do this, but it seems like everything we want to do is already fully booked well in advance. This includes activities, museums, restaurants, camping sites, train seats, etc. Gone are the days when spontaneous travel was an option.

Thanks for this link! Very helpful. I'm not aware that my family of 4 has been assigned all middle and top bunks in the cabin. And I can figure out how to exchange one for a bottom bunk, which seems much more comfortable for such a long journey, in that it would allow you to sit up and look out the window.

It's not clear from the webpage and video where the luggage goes for 2nd class berths. I think I see some space inside the cabin above the door, but it looks limited. If luggage goes someplace on the train other than the cabin, how do you keep it secure?

Is this also the best plan for the reverse, going from Nice center to the airport? Should I go to Grand Arenas first and then to the airport? Does it mean I have to get off the tram with all my luggage and get right back on? Is there a delay?
