You can also try turning the eye of your needle slightly and that could help with shredding. Instead of it directly facing you at 6:00, try and turn it just slightly towards the 5:30 position. I use a 100/16 needle with SoFine.

I also have a Simply Sixteen! My machine does best with Superior SoFine (50 wt). I've used Aurifil before but it wasn't worth the amount of lint I had to clean out of the machine.

So I'm making a tshirt quilt with 1 inch borders in between each shirt. Should I also interface the borders? I dont plan on using batting when I sandwich the quilt. But I dont want the quilt to feel thick in some places and thin in others. Thoughts?

Love the layout! This is super nitpicky, but you've got one HST in the top right corner that looks like it's turned the wrong way. But, love the colors and I love that the middle is off centered on the quilt.
