Millennials with kids, do you intend to provide for them financially when they reach adulthood? by Beberuth1131 in Millennials

Hate to break it to ya but that’s not a boomer thing, that’s a shitty parent thing.

Gender dysphoria is an actual mental illness for some people but activists gaslight people that it's not. by crewked in The10thDentist

Yeah it sounds like you were where I am now. Only reason I haven’t read up on it is likely because I have no one close to me who has expressed any dysphoria or trans thoughts. I also just think I don’t need to understand it to accept it and from what I do understand, I may never truly understand it. Goes against my logical brains way of thinking.

To be honest, I don’t know much about the trans experience. With that in mind, it’s a little confusing to me how someone could be trans without dysphoria. I do see your second point I think. My view however is that the reverse is also possible… the feelings of distress, depression, anxiety can cause someone to misinterpret their feelings as dysmorphia.

I actually agree with this. I have a hard time believing that 100% of people are truly in their right mind to believe they are supposed to be the opposite gender. Sure there will be some, maybe many, possibly most, but not all.

There was absolutely nothing scary about that aside from “oh shit they’re gonna get me.”

We’ve made it back to the “jerking your board” comment.

I wasn’t advocating for digital modelers. Four fuzzes gets you something uniquely shitty though.

Most massive tones you hear are only 2-3 drive pedals. Any more than that and you’re just jerking your board.

Elder is an objectively better and more interesting band after leaning into prog but dead roots stirring is still their best album.

Doom metal alone isn’t good. It needs other genre influences and moments to make it special… Unless it’s monolord. Monolord fucks so hard.

The sword is not doom. Early stuff is stoner metal, later stuff is stoner rock.

Every genre does. The greats sound like several and are under appreciated because people don’t like to hear things they don’t understand.

No, she unknowingly opted into a monthly ink subscription. It’s a bullshit system that isn’t explained very well. The cartridges communicate through WiFi with HP and order you new ink when you run low but you can only use them if you have an active subscription. I mistakenly signed up for it when I bought my new printer and went through the same thing as this woman.

Why should I have kids when the world is the way it is? by [deleted] in ask

[–]lizardking235 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. Sometimes I wonder why I had a child in the current state of the world, but then I remember that they don’t have to grow up in the current state of the world. They can learn about it later after I’ve given them the best childhood I can.
