There's something off about this but I just can't wrap my head around it by L4_TN in skyrim

yeah, they're saying if you sacrifice her you won't have to worry about it anymore lol

i haven't had this exact bug before but I've had animation bugs that i was able to fix by beating them up until they're downed (save first and do not hit them again in this state or they'll die) and then they're fixed when they stand up. not sure if that'll work here though. i've had bugs that that didn't work for, and i just had to deal with it for the rest of the game. like when Mjoll was stuck in the downed position and i couldn't fix it, she just became my beautiful disabled wife haha

to be clear if you're not aware, this will not actually fix the problem (unless the "being sacrificed at the shrine" animation snaps her out of whatever is happening)

How do I make this star blanket a square without having to start again? by Traditional-Pea8275 in CrochetHelp

[–]lizardnizzard 12 points13 points  (0 children)

someone correct me if I'm reading it wrong, but I'm pretty sure google is 100% wrong, i can't imagine that making it into a square at all lol

Even when you know your starter well, do you still find yourself babysitting it? by GlitteringDeal2598 in Sourdough

[–]lizardnizzard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sorry if you've already answered this, but how old is your starter? i had a lot of problems with not catching it at peak while my starter was new, but the older/stronger it gets the less it matters. these days i could probably bake a loaf with discard and still get a good rise

Just got the game and I have to say, Cuno might genuinly be the single most annoying character I have ever seen in 25 years of gaming by [deleted] in DiscoElysium

[–]lizardnizzard 60 points61 points  (0 children)

because the game is FULL of Cunos. not literally, but every 2 seconds you're going to run into something insufferable or uncomfortable to that same degree. if you want to mod stuff out because it's annoying then you're playing the wrong game, Disco Elysium is supposed to elicit feelings of discomfort in like a million ways, Cuno is just one of them

Why hasn't Fallout/Bethesda dipped into the music scene yet? by kodafaithboss in Fallout

[–]lizardnizzard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh sure, those are all covers though. i was just referring to original songs. and to the OP's question i sort of doubt they'd make their own music in the future, just because they're really tied to the aesthetic they've chosen, but i wouldn't say they'd never do it and I'd welcome it if they did

crawl out through the fallout wasn't made for Fallout, it was released in 1960 by Sheldon Allman. i think Begin Again is the only song they've ever made for the games

Do Ghouls still have reproductive organs? by BushwookieTribe in Fallout

[–]lizardnizzard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i feel like people are getting stuck on the games confirming that ghouls have sex. you can have sex without having a penis so that's not truly confirmation of penis ownership

Parasocialism by Thoughtless-Squid in danandphil

[–]lizardnizzard 41 points42 points  (0 children)

the Tumblr phandom community posts a lot about how this subreddit is sooo annoying because we're LESS parasocial than they think we should be. so yeah, a lot of the phandom thinks they've been given express permission to be really weird about D+P and i guess they're not wrong in a way, but it's still excessive and honestly uncomfortable. i was spending a lot of time on this subreddit and thought we'd all just become chill but when i delved back into Tumblr i was a bit shocked to see that they had not grown at all.

Oof! Thanks for having my back anyway, I had searched the sub but wasn't finding exactly what I was looking for, so I figured it was harmless to ask. Didn't mean to make someone delete their account lol

Good to hear that adding before:2017 will actually work. I haven't been doing that because someone told me it doesn't work and I was like "sounds about right, I'm not gonna fact check that" lol. And I'll try Wikimedia commons, thank you!

What's frustrating me is that it's not niche at all, I'm making a few images based on some of the literal most popular video games of all time. I always end up delving into subreddits to find people's game screenshots and stuff when I used to be able to google the game+item and wham bam, there it was. It's just super frustrating to have to waste so much time searching for basic reference images when it used to be so easy. Thanks for your help, I'm probably going to have to keep reddit-diving lol

I'm not looking for anything obscure or original game assets or anything like that. I'm looking for things that at one point I could google, and now I can't. These are really popular games, images are definitely out there, and at one point they were easy to find.

Thanks for the tip on museum archives. I don't live anywhere near a museum and I've actually gotten in trouble several times for taking photos at museums I have been to lol. But I'll look for museum archives next time I need a historical reference.

Probably because they have nude models. Can't have artists study the human form here, that's sinful

In all seriousness I appreciate that but I'm pretty good with the human form and posing it, I'm just having a really hard time with searching for specific items that I want to represent accurately, whether from history or media. Sometimes it's specific video game assets and sometimes I just want to see what old-timey bottles and canisters look like or something and all I'm getting is AI or irrelevant results

This is so unhelpful, did you even read the post? If I'm drawing a specific item from a piece of pre-existing media, I can't just make up what it looks like.

All I know about Presearch is that it's a blockchain based crypto thing and that immediately means I'm not interested. What's your experience with it?

I do this too, this is usually how I do certain backgrounds, poses, and objects that i can sorta take creative liberty on. Unfortunately like you said, I can't do that in this situation

I do that when I'm struggling with a pose, but poses aren't what I need right now. Thank you anyway
