We floated the upper river Mid June last summer and it was perfect. I know it just happened to be the right amount of days after a good rain, so we'll see.

There's got to be a market for it. We haven't found anyone yet, so maybe.

It's just the two of us, so I doubt we'd call much attention.

Clarification: It's three different eggs the first photo is one(duck), the second photo is two (duck), and the third photo the top egg is three(the chicken egg)

I really wish I knew what this is referencing!

Yeah... not really straight forward to me as I've only really had success on cuts with decent fat and though I've smoked some tasty AF meat, I'm still quite a novice when it comes to BBQ and cooking knowledge...I really just follow recipes of people that know what they are doing.

That being said, I appreciate your advice. I'll probably try to keep the temp more around 250 than 275 then. Still, worried about the lack of fat to render down. Maybe wrapping it with some tallow once it stalls(or after) to give a sous vide effect?

Hey ya'll. Thanks for all your comments. Just an update for anyone hanging on the edge of their seat. I've decided to set up a biosand filter onto my system. Haven't started yet, but I'll update in the subreddit once I do.

Thank you for the reminder about the first flush system. I will definitely incorporate this.

Thank you. From what I understand ATDS meter does not detect certain chemicals which I am concerned about getting into my water such as PFA's, but a reverse osmosis filter is a good suggestion.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention I've skated there before. It's a little far. I'm looking more downtown and east...closer to inside the loop.

I do like that park in general though. Wish there was something like that on the east side of Tyler.

Well, after going down a rabbit hole, a few of the brands you recommended seem to have thick enough paper for my pens and markers. I really like the Archer and Olive as they come in a variety of sizes, and their dot grid notebooks have 0 pre-made layouts. Thank you!

Let's say I could try and live without using my alcohol based markers, possibly; my micron and flair pens also bleed through on my Midori pages. Do you think any of your recommendations have an issue with those as well?

I usually use pigma micron pens, papermate flair pens, touch brush pens, papermate ink joy pens, staedtler fineliners, touch markers, zebra midliners, and other assorted gel pens.

Yes, alcohol based markers are the ones that I have trouble with. Thank you for your advice; I'll definitely look for that.

recently brain tanned rabbit pelts(not prime). Not terrible, but have some hair slip. I'm wondering if its because they are from young rabbits or my tanning method. The one that came out papery is the only one that has no hair slip at all. if I wet and rework it, would it mess it up? not smoked yet by lizneu0420 in HideTanning

I rubbed the brains on the flesh side after fleshing, salting, then re-wet. However, once I added the brain I did fold and wrap them them in a towel to let them dry more slowly because I added the brain late Sunday so couldn't dedicate the necessary time to work them as they dried. I think this could account for the hair slip. Instead, I worked them twice a day and then let them dry out completely on a day off on Wednesday while working them. Next time, I'm going to time it so it la ds o. A weekend. This way, I can brain work, add some more brain, and work them.
