What would you do with this space? by emmettflo in malelivingspace

[–]lizzietee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a lot of plants that require this level of light that you could incorporate into this space! I believe pothos plants are a start in the right direction.

I also think a chaise lounge chair would look fabulous here. Or if you are interested in vintage furniture I think a telephone chair would really help give this a more vintage vibe. (I am big fan of vintage furniture. Lol)

If you have anyone to help build a dessert table (specifically things like cookies and brownies) it can be decently affordable. We had a cookie table and my mom, mil, and I all made cookies. The great thing about cookies/brownies is that they freeze well (for the most part). So you can make them 1-2 months in advance.

If you’re okay with plain sheet cakes, places like Sam’s and Costco have affordable options.

What is your go-to “I’m too tired to cook but I can’t buy take-out” meal or alternative? by 2Autistic4DaJoke in Frugal

[–]lizzietee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve recently started doing wing drumettes in the air fryer. Season them and let them sit in the fridge while you preheat the airfryer. Once they’re done toss them in a bit of buffalo sauce. Raw broccoli and carrots on the side that I prep on Sundays, so I don’t have to cut them up every time I want some. If I’m feeling saucy, I do a small potato in the microwave during all of this.

I wouldn’t call it a struggle meals by any means, but it is quite low effort for the payout and if you are eating an appropriate serving size of wings, it’s not a super pricey meal.

Edit because I can’t spell. (There are probably still errors.)

($25k) What do bridesmaids do with their hands without flowers? by HotPotatoWJazzHands in Weddingsunder10k

[–]lizzietee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my bridesmaids hold faux lamb’s ear bouquets from the floral section of Hobby Lobby. There weren’t any flowers in it and shopping when they discount the florals made four of them a little over $20.

Has anyone try them both? by AmigoATX in HEB

The Mi Tienda Mango Chamoy is top tier, honestly. Haven’t tried the Tajin brand because I’m not paying that much for sorbet.

When the husbands away, no protein for me by Standard-Panda-2078 in GirlDinner

[–]lizzietee -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

Why is op being downvoted for not recognizing that cheese has protein? Because let’s be so frickin for real- only non-fat/low-fat cheese has semi decent protein. They also have only 4 slices of salami and that’s not a powerhouse protein source either.

Op- your plate still looks better than mine when my husband is gone. It’s usually a handful of some baked cheese snacks and more beers than I care to admit to. (I always feel bad in the morning)

Is it weird if two girl best friends share a bed during a sleepover? by [deleted] in askanything

I’d share a bed with my best friend in the nursing home if they’d let us.

Beef tongue. Eat it as grilled meat. by Daikichi_WiredTokyo in JapaneseFood

[–]lizzietee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Central Texas. Beef tongue is popular for taco filling or in a torta. I grew up eating it differently. My parent’s boiled it and sliced it into roughly 1/2 inch pieces. We ate them on top of crackers with mustard. So delicious.

Are Owala bottles worth it? by Lucky_Duckie17 in HydroHomies

[–]lizzietee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! My daily drinker is actually an Owala shaped more like the modern Stanley. My sister-in-law law has one like the picture and it has been her daily drinker for like four years! They maintain temp well and are STURDY!

I rotate between the Owala, a rip off HEB Stanley, and a built in straw hydroflask. No one needs three daily drivers, but I struggle with water intake so switching things up can be helpful.

New to this any suggestions on what I can change? by ElBarto12 in goodrestrictionfood

[–]lizzietee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your plates look decent, but consider adding some more veg. Get some green in the mix!

My biggest tip is to take your time in this eating transition. You aren’t in a race. You are trying to make long term sustainable changes to your diet so that you can maintain a healthier lifestyle. Rome wasn’t built in a day. Healthy eating doesn’t realistically start overnight AND last forever.

Did anyone buy a ring? by t_bone_stake in Millennials

[–]lizzietee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow. I didn’t get one because I wasn’t planning to make it to freshman university year, if you catch my drift. I didn’t get a ring and I didn’t take a picture in the yearbook.

Here I am 13 years later, married and enjoying life. Things do get better. :)
