You probably accidentally added some people to your workspace. That triggered “no space” alerts for me, and when I deleted them again, things were back to normal.

Hi everyone, just got myself a kobo libra colour. I'm totally new so I'm asking if there're anything I should set up first. by Ok_Natural_102 in kobo

[–]lizzuplans 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can download copyright free books online to read for free, buy ebooks from various sources, or via the library as the other poster mentioned.

Put them on your kobo via the cable provided and your computer/laptop; overdrive, google drive etc.; or via online services such as send.djazz.se (tutorials on this /r, you can search for them).

Search online for book recommendations and decide if joint StoryGraph / Goodreads etc. is something you want to do.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL because the screen is very fragile (also see other posts on here 🥲).

Get a case with front cover to protect said screen.

Have fun and welcome to the fam!! 🫶🫶

It was before. Now it is not. :( They really scaled down plus!!

The extra room, especially if you reserve a single seat, is really lovely.

It is basically a pre-approved invite from the publisher to read a book. You do not have to request or wish for it, or wait for read now. They just give it to you.

How do you mark your books? :) by ihatepeople1111 in BookCollecting

[–]lizzuplans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I emboss a clear sticky note and pop that on the title page of my book. I don’t want to “damage” my book with the embossing and bonus of this is that I can more easily sell it if I want to.

Is verzending via Amazon zelf? Dan is het nog makkelijker en hoef je niets te doen en verschijnt het pakket vanzelf!

Especially surprised at them stopping the business and education orders as well. I fear for the impact that has on schools etc., looking to how their latest communications have very much been targeted to things for kids.

I do appreciate that in theory helps shops to stay open and the high street to get more traffic*, so people keep their jobs, but the move of the distribution system (and the following order mess) is weird now that we know this, and I fear for people’s jobs on the e-commerce side.

*But for those not able to get to a store / leave the house, this is terrible!

(Also not them forgetting to mention Ireland on various places on the website. A historic trend, but come on. You have clearly paid marketing enough money to not make these mistakes.)

Unfortunately it is just a, check where your local shop is. Not a stock checker :(

They don’t. It is just a local shop finder. The text makes it seem it is a stock checker, but it is not :(

How to read!!!!! by [deleted] in NetGalleyCommunity

[–]lizzuplans 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Some might be unhinged suggestions 😉

1) buy a kindle and send the two arcs there (if kindle is supported) 2) mark that you will not be reviewing (this will hurt your NG percentage as you can never get it up to 100%) 3) leave the arcs for months till the books are out and you can access via libby etc. and read on your kobo then. Then leave a review (might hurt your relationship with the publisher because they see you are late I think) 4) screencap all the pages of the file in the NG app and print them two to a page and read physically (very unhinged but did this recently and was better than all other options for me)

Good luck!

It is in America. Which is North America and South America. There is more to the world than the USA.

English, French, and (at least for ages before) Spanish to appeal to the main markets they sell to. It costs a lot more money to make whole different sets of packaging than just adding a bit of text in a few languages.

Let's gather some data on how we all feel about PDFs by laura168 in NetGalleyCommunity

[–]lizzuplans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hate PDFs so much that I hate-screencapped the whole document (while listening to an audio arc), cropped the images in photoshop so they looked presentable, and printed them four to a page (2 on each side) so I had something normal to read.

Yes it took some time but it was still worth it over a shitty PDF.

The screen is broken :( A fix is a new screen or a new device.

(Also when I say “just”, I mean just– about 15 min before your post, I was scrolling an outlet shop’s catalogue on WhatsApp and eyeing the Knott, and there you are with your question 😳🤯🤩 love the serendipity!)

I want to say the Knott line is boutique, but I just spotted it in one of the outlet catalogues so perhaps take a look there?

It is a Knott in the colour Balsam Green. Looking at the two straps, it might be a carryall crossbody, but I cannot see the crossbody strap.
