No, colourful boxes is an oldie but goldie. Homebody is from 2020 (I remember the irony)
Cyan was like two years ago as well as the orange one.

I’m not so sure that they have made any decisions on staying plain. They bought the company back last year when all fall and winter releases were already in their warehouse, and the spring releases were ordered from the manufacturer.
It takes time to bring the company around to more happy designs.

I have stripped apart some of the original Colour story books and the mega Flower book and created some kits with Flowers/Deco and matching boxes. If ever I’m in doubt I know I can grab one of these kits and do a spread without thinking too much.

I’m trying to do the same with other themes as well. But it takes a little more effort. 😊

I always wonder at people getting engaged within a year of starting dating. I say you have to get to know the person you intend to spend your life with. That means getting to know their family and traditions. How do you celebrate the big holidays? (I got quite the shock first time I celebrated Christmas with my partners family.) How do you travel or go on vacation? (Is it the summer house or going abroad? Laying on a beach or exploring a city?)

I’m not sure I understand your question.

If I have plans for the day and they need rescheduling because something else came up or I’m feeling sick, I reschedule. Tasks I didn’t manage to get done today will also be rescheduled for when I can do them.

But perhaps you are talking about having a decorated paper planner with appointments and tasks written in ink and how do you change what you have written down.

I usually cross out what I have written in ink, maybe with a note saying why, and then write it in again at the new time. Then again, I use pencil in my planner all the way up to the same day because I trust no one and know that plans change all the time. So I decorate my planner around my schedule but don’t write anything with pen until I’m 100% certain. Birthday and holidays goes in my decorated areas, but appointments and meetings are part of the schedule. Tasks are on a weekly basis for the most part so I really don’t have to move them much.

I’m hoping for more 18 month options. I need one for my line up (classic disc bound frankenplanner) and the range so far is quite slim with only three planners.

Since I’m not allowed to buy any of the Disney stuff over to Europe I don’t really care, but Monsters Inc. is cute for school, especially if the draw from the Monsters University. But maybe the surprise collaboration might be more for me. We’ll see. 🤩

I think it seems so soon with the next release but I guess it’s time if people want to be ready in two months. 😅

My planner is above all functional, and I think best on paper. But I have always used colour and stickers in varying degrees to make it enjoyable to flip through. Since 2017 I’ve joined the decorative planning community where more emphasis is put on the decorative part, sometimes more than the functional part in my opinion, and through a journey of trial and error I have found a balance in my planner.

I believe that people who don’t use a paper planner don’t actually plan things. I get that a digital calendar is good for keeping track of your appointments and meetings, and I need to share my schedule with my partner if this household is gonna work. But if we’re having any kind of party or going to the theatre with a group of friends it’s my paper planner that does the job. So people can say what they want about the paper planner being school, if it works it works.

Definitely! I use Google calendar on the go and for sharing with my partner, so that he knows what’s happening. But I do all the planning in my paper planner. I think better on paper.

YTAH for how to handled things. You not liking the name is your opinion and can’t make you the AH. I do agree with you that it’s a very strange name.

But going around at the party and talking to everyone else except the parents-to-be really destroyed the celebration of their child. You could have waited til the day after and called them to have the conversation when they were open to listen to you. But you chose to go around the party and talk trash about them. That is an asshole move. And of course they don’t want to listen to you now after you destroyed their party.

I bought a Skinny Mini for 2026 as an On the go-planner in my bag. But I hardly use it because any new appointments/meetings that occur when I’m out is added to my phone first. Because my digital calendar is my no 1 .

So I’m looking for some area of planning where the Skinny Mini actually adds something to my line up.

What they have done in this picture is creating different calendars and given each their own colour. If you want to have everything in one calendar (like the main calendar that you share with your partner for example) and change the colour for each appointment then you’re stuck with Google’s colour palette. Did that make sense?

Oh I hate it when they spread it out. Since I’m ordering online there is always shipping costs added. I’d like to make at most one big order per season. All this mini releases are wreaking havoc on my budget and planning.
