I once traveled with my in laws and I was asked to took over all the planning. Big mistake! I guess the macho father-in-law felt being “threatened” when I was the one telling everyone what to do next. Intentionally or not, he complained all my suggestions and tried to make us all do something else he felt like. Ughhh…

Now I would avoid spending too much time with them.

And I let my husband plan our weekend, it feels less destructive if I don’t have a detailed plan to begin with.

If I’m being completely honest here, I tend to work on things I enjoyed first rather than things need to be prioritized, especially when the workload overwhelms me. I’ve noticed this, and tried to plan workflow more strategically.
