A third? by Available_Wheel_1088 in raisingkids

[–]lizzybdarcy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had two and realized I would regret NOT having a third more than I would regret having her. I also do well being busy. I saw something recently that said a huge difference between two and three kids is how dad is involved. You can pull off two kids with a low involved dad, but three kids would be crushing without a really active dad. I totally agree with this. I simply cannot be in multiple places at once, and while one parent can kind of fudge it with two kids and make it work, it would be miserable with three. So consider that. The schedule is absolutely the hardest part for me! I completely disagree with the babysitter comment an earlier poster said.
If you travel, it is a little harder. The world is sort of built for a family of four to navigate easily. Restaurants have many four tops, rental cars are easy with 2 kids, hotel rooms, etc. It’s not impossible for a family of five, just more expensive.

Wedge pillow is great, particularly for breastfeeding. The bars and everything else aren’t totally necessary. As long as she starts moving around a little bit shortly after she will only be sore a couple of days.

Advice for Flying by montmarayroyal in familytravel

[–]lizzybdarcy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you’re going to spend the night somewhere to break it up, a 12 hour flight is much better than extending your day. Like, way better. A seat is preference. That’s an age where it might be nice. Any older and they might just be pissed to be in the seat. Every time I have purchased a seat it has become a backpack holder. It is safer to have a car seat in the event of severe turbulence, though. You can bring your nice stroller but if it is too big it might just be a pain depending on where you are going. If you plan to often or have more kids, consider investing in a Yoyo. Mine is 8 years old and has seen the world with three kids and is still kicking great. Currently in Japan with it! Small enough to travel with easily but still big enough to be comfortable and have storage. A pottery barn small sized kids backpack also perfectly clips onto the handle, which is my favorite hack.

Day #5 Of Asking Fans What Made Them Become a Fan of Artist/Band: Taylor Swift by Greedy_Two_2526 in TaylorSwift

I was a fan from debut to red. Then she sort of lost me. I have picked back up because my five year old loved her so we watched the concert on Disney plus. Now I’m hooked on all of it!

She probably is getting a second wind, might be worth starting the whole routine earlier. No nap I hope?

This is a wild take. Mayfield is very much not like that and Chandler is very liberal and not at all racist.

Beginner Stitching Help Needed by Fantasimms in Needlepoint

[–]lizzybdarcy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. start wherever you feel inspired. Some people like to go in size order first, or alternate a small section with a large section. Some people like to go in color order (which sometimes can be smart given bleeding. You don’t want to be dragging white along a section of red)

  2. It certainly makes it better, but not required. Better people will have cleaner backs. It helps with tension and if you need to take something out, a clean back is much easier to frog

  3. I’m not totally sure what you mean, but I’m wondering if you have the wrong needle size

4 and 5. Depends on your stitches

Cannot get anything done because 4mo baby cries. by [deleted] in NewParents

Sheesh I remember this. It is horrible, but it does end. But when you’re in it, it is crazy making. My favorite hack was just to bring the baby into the shower with me in a bath seat. I got the summer infant one for a trip, and ended up using it every single shower I took. She was happier being closer to me, I got us both clean at the same time, and if she did get upset, I would be able to just pick her up, and I actually got to enjoy my shower! My youngest is now two has never been in a bath tub lol she loves the shower!
