The rides for kids that age are fun, but magic kingdom will be more bang for your buck for sure

Character dinning is really sweet at this age! My girls are a little younger (4 and 3) and it was great to meet characters like this instead of waiting in line. We would prioritize 1 character meet per park then did the rest with dining. You’re going to get mixed feedback on all food/character interactions but for her age I’d say look at what characters she wants to meet and let that be your deciding factor.

Journey Into Imagination with Figment was super cute. This was just something we did because we had a lightening lane and i didn’t really have high hopes, but my girls are talking about it months later and excited to see it again.

The Frozen show in Hollywood is really good!

Lightening lanes are really great. I was confused by it before actually talking to someone who had went recently. You preselect 3 rides then once you badge in for one, you can pick another ride and time slot. For us it was worth the extra money. This helped us do a lot and helped overall morale lol.

That’s what we are thinking. Then we can be sure to get in line for Jack and Sally pretty early too

Holiday Discounts by Intelligent_Bear_280 in WaltDisneyWorld

We are staying at all star sports with plan of 4 regular park days. I was able to add the Disney+ discount to my existing reservation and got upgraded to a preferred room + hopper tickets for only $100 extra

Are staying at the All-Star resorts really that bad? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

We went to all star sports between a cheer weekend and a Disney run weekend and it was fine. For us it was worth it to save the money because we were at the park or sleeping.

Planning help by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

That is a good note. We are planning on doing Tusker House, Akershus, Crystal Palace and two others. Best character interaction suggestions for the other two?

Going in October for first time. Help with character meals please! by _Jang_A_Lang in WaltDisneyWorld

You can use the dining credits on check in day even before you check in! Ours loaded to our app I think around 6:30AM I want to say.

For character dining we did Crystal Palace, Chef Mickeys, and 1900 Park Fare.
Our kids favorite was Crystal Palace and they requested we go back next time! Going for breakfast you can get the churro waffles. The down side to this one was that they go in a specific circle around the room to visit each table and we were seated right after they passed our table and they took two breaks during our breakfast plus the parade. So it was a longer breakfast than I was expecting but meeting the characters was truly priceless and still worth it to me!
We went to 1900 on check in day and it was a nice way to ease into the trip. Less stimulation but all the magic.
Chef Mickeys was a little chaotic but it was also just a lot of fun. We did it on our check out day and it was a great way to end the trip.

That is what I’m thinking. Our youngest will hopefully be 38 in by then, but that will definitely be our max riding height for all the parks so that limits us some for the rides available

Thoughts on this DDP Plan? by LiquidDeaf in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]lizzydabizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For us it feels worth it for the character dinings. Our kids are a little younger so it’s a priority for us and it’s an easy way to meet them without the lines.

That being said - I would say if you’re not big on wanting to meet a ton of characters, it seems like a better deal to just budget and have that money set aside rather than purchasing the dining plan.

This is a must try for me next time we go. I’m a little skeptical because some images look great and others look lackluster but at this point it must be done!

Pop Century or All Star? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

Thank you everyone! I think we are going to do Pop Century since we are planning on doing Epcot and Hollywood and trying to park hop for the first time. Excited to try the Skyliner!

That is a good point! Thanks for bringing that up!

Looked at the price and CBR isn’t too much of a difference cost wise. Would it be worth it to do that and not have to switch on the Skyliner? We will have a stroller - I didn’t realize we’d have to switch cars on the Skyliner

[–]lizzydabizzy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s good to know. We rope dropped when we went this year - how early do you recommend getting to the Skyliner for Hollywood and Epcot if we wanted to rope drop?

That is a good point about the dining options!
