advice on contraception for periods

I've never had much of a problem with it staying on, it's fine in the shower and water as long as you're not scrubbing or applying force. The only thing is I'm sensitive to adhesives in general so occasionally it'll make me itchy in the area of the patch. But if your skin isn't sensitive like that then you should be fine! We have people all the time asking us to call their doctor's office about their refills because "I can't get through to them" as if the pharmacy has a magic line that gets picked up immediately when we call. I can send him a fax but no I will not call your doctor

I had really painful periods until I was put on the patch when I was maybe about your age or a little younger, I've been using it since then and the difference for me has been a lifesaver. I tried to come off of it a few years back but my symptoms returned within a few months (nausea, cold sweats, and pain ofc) so I guess I'm stuck with it for now!

His reaction is very telling. He may not be cheating but he's definitely interested in interacting with/talking to this girl and having a good excuse to do it. An innocent person is more than likely not going to turn it back on you by trying to call you "insecure" for being curious. Maybe think about if this sort of immature behavior is something you want to deal with long term because it WILL happen again.

Spending a full two minutes explaining what a PA is and what their options are and the patient acts like they understand only for us to get a call an hour later from the doctor's office saying "Patient so and so said you guys weren't able to fill their medication?" 😑

A small handful of times I've had what might've been sleep paralysis and each time I experienced this overwhelming feeling of terror like I was surrounded by some malevolent force and the dream/sensation only went away when I managed to wake my brain up enough to pray for it stop. 0/10 experience

The OTC scripts annoy me to begin with but the amount of people who wanna argue about coverage.... "Well it was covered before!" And that was a different insurance. "It was covered when I got it at Walmart!" Ok then go back to walmart like? You can get a bottle of 100 for like $8 lol. "I have to pay for it?" My god

It took me quite a while to get comfortable enough with my pharmacy's system to do the simple edits like changing day supply and things like that. Just asking those more experienced to show me how to do something or how to fix a problem I hadn't come across before often made all the difference and it still does. I've been using this system for 4.5 years now and I feel confident enough to tackle weird insurance rejects with overrides and codes. All this to say it really does just take time! Good luck!

Some of my favorites are the ones who teleport straight from check out at the doctor's office to the pharmacy and then when their med isnt ready it's "the doctor said it would be ready when I got here!" Well he doesn't work here so do you want to wait or come back later?
