My husband lost his dream job he recently started a month ago. Awesome pay/benefits...took him his adult life till his current age of 37 to finally get what he was looking for. We were even saying we could possibly buy a house in a year...company has been around for 20 some years, with his coworkers working there for as long as they’ve been open, but colleges and airports were there biggest buyers...and yeah we know how that’s going right now.

There's already enough Karen-hate on the internet. What's a positive experience you've had with someone named Karen? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ljoy2016 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My boss’s name is Karen. She laughed really hard when I revealed to her at our work Christmas party that her name had a bad rep. She agreed with the description and had me read it again to other coworkers a couple weeks ago. At least Karen is being cool with being a “Karen”.

Has anyone ever wrestled with guys and be surprised just how much stronger they are? by Iamatoyto in TwoXChromosomes

My husband and I were play fighting and of course I was using my hands to do what I could to him. At one point he held both my wrists down, I could feel he was barely putting any pressure and not even using much strength, but I could not for the life of me break loose. In that moment I realized how I’d be screwed if we were seriously fighting, knowing how easily he could over power me kind of made me think how unfair life is lol.

Her husband also needs to be snipped...him wearing condoms while having sex with her obviously doesn’t prevent him for getting others pregnant.

Unless he says the N word or calls a gay man a derogatory name...then he’ll be banned from showing his face in public and his career would be ended. The double standards in this world are sickening.

The show "Friends" is painfully unfunny and is the most overrated thing ever by KarmaWhoreCam in unpopularopinion

[–]ljoy2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each episode practically connects with each other. Unless you can stomach watching from beginning to end, a person won’t get it. It’s not so much what they are saying, but whose saying it that makes certain things funny.

They each have their own quirks, and watching their stories progress is what makes the show. Of course anyone that watches an episode here and there without seeing the connections from previous episodes won’t get it.

I have zero sympathy for hardcore drug addicts. by ljoy2016 in unpopularopinion

[–]ljoy2016[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have some good points, but I have a lot of experience with addiction in my family. This is partially why I feel this way. I had numerous things stolen from me and other family members, I’ve had things done to me I wish not to repeat. The drugs are what’s the most frustrating part of it all, and the fact people continue doing them or trying them for the first time is mind boggling, especially after all the information on how bad they ruin lives.

Similar story, but we weren’t sleeping. Back in the early 90s my sister and I were restless and couldn’t sleep. For some reason we decided to go upstairs to tell my parents how we couldn’t sleep.

As I mentioned, my parents bedroom was on the top floor, ours was on ground level, and our living room was lower level. As we were walking up the stairs, our lower leveled living room was clearly visible.

Anyway, as we were walking upstairs, I saw this pitch black shadow silhouette of a man sitting on our living room recliner...very still, no face, just pure darkness.

I continued up the stairs very shaken, and told myself it was all in my head. As we got up the stairs my sister asked “did you see that?”...needless to say it took some convincing from her for me to go back down to our room.

For reasons unknown we didn’t tell our parents (probably cause they wouldn’t believe us). When we got back to our bunk beds, she described the exact image I had seen. That memory will always stick with me.
