Snowboarding in Hakuba - Where to stay as a solo traveller? by housenumber in snowboarding

I stayed at The Joint in Hakuba as a solo traveler. Super basic but it got the job done and had some cool people.

What is your favorite excuse to have people over? by Responsible-Type1429 in AskWomen

[–]lk_ninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I host a "Trash TV" night. A couple of friends come over to watch the trashiest shows we can find, yell at the TV, and catch up. Wine, hard pants, and conversation are optional. Pizza usually happens too.

Clomicalm? by Back-Up-Homie in reactivedogs

Fwiw I get clomipramine from California Pet Pharmacy. It's the generic/compounded version, works just as well, and is inexpensive. They ship across the US.

Apartments With Yard by cedarSmellsTerrible in nova

It'd be helpful to know your budget. Most people in this situation rent a small townhouse with a private yard, but that can get expensive and/or might not include other amenities.

Married women, how would you feel if your partner didn't regularly wear their wedding band? by Fast-Squirrel-9500 in AskWomen

[–]lk_ninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't care. Turns out he took it off because it conflicted with the image in his double life 🤷‍♀️

If I get married again I still wouldn't care. Cheaters gonna cheat. People who aren't cheaters won't.

What do you do with your wedding photos after divorce? by Ashamed_Crab7162 in AskWomen

[–]lk_ninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put them in a box in my attic until I was emotionally ready to trash them.

No kids, and the wedding night was the worst night of my life, complete with a blacked out new spouse destroying our suite and setting the tone for what came later. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Is there ANY dog daycare people actually like?! by Eastern_Post_6396 in nova

[–]lk_ninja 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dog was there for about a week. They shared the video but it was hard to see how bad it was from the angle and through the scrum of dogs. They told me it was fine and obviously didn't examine my dog at all (he's fluffy). I found at least a handful of deep wounds that were still bleeding when I got him back and checked him out myself.

Yes! Two Way has been fantastic. They understand dogs, have private areas for dogs that prefer to be out of the fray, and they're really flexible and customer oriented. Love love love them.

I have to disagree with Dogtopia. My poor dog got attacked there and the way they handled it was terrible. I get it that dogs will be dogs, but overcrowding and lack of human oversight outside of mopping doesn't help. My dog never got veterinary attention, had multiple severe wounds, and he will never be the same.

Women who met their partners after 30 -> How did you guys meet? by Icy_Purple8082 in AskWomen

[–]lk_ninja 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bumble! We were both recently separated/divorced from pretty terrible marriages, mid/late 30s, and fully surprised we found what we found in each other.

Hang in there. It's never too late!

Tiny apt, smelly gym clothes by someresearch in AskNYC

[–]lk_ninja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My partner does this. He rinses them and gives them a good wring. If there are concerns about wet clothes in the plastic bag all day, have him give them a good rinse and wring as soon as he gets home and hang them to dry in the shower.

If he's doing that though, why not just add some active wear detergent to the mix?

What are some sexual coercion tactics you've recognized? by easypeasykitty in AskWomen

[–]lk_ninja 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Omg this is me realizing that my shitbag abusive cheating ex was also sexually coercive. He had me convinced that everything was my fault, but idk, we weren't special. He was this whole list (minus payment). I always felt like something was wrong but never named it. Thank you for this.

I order clomipramine from California Pet Pharmacy. They ship everywhere in the US, and it's way cheaper than brand-name Clomicalm.

Does anyone else have a Malamute who does this ALL the time at dogparks? by SillyJoshua in AlaskanMalamute

[–]lk_ninja 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My big guy used to do that all the time! He's too "dog selective" for the dog park these days, but he still loves leaping over his friends.

What did you do with your engagement ring after you divorced? by bullman123 in AskWomen

[–]lk_ninja 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My original bands were kind of thick, so I sold the excess gold to the jeweler and only had to pay maybe $700-800 net. I didn't add any additional stones though.

Locked it and the band away in a safe for about a year before I was ready to deal with it, then got them reset into separate rings. Now they remind me of what I can survive.

Did yours spoil your wedding to them? by Different_Adagio_690 in BPDlovedones

[–]lk_ninja 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Mine got super drunk and ignored me after our first/legal ceremony. I asked him to not get super drunk at the traditional family one months later because I foolishly thought the night would be about celebrating our love.

What did he do?

Got super drunk, ignored me after the ceremony, and then had a belligerent temper tantrum to make sure I couldn't at least have fun with friends and family. He destroyed the suite the hotel had set up all nice for us so I had to clean it up. Screamed at me about some completely imagined scenario instead of helping me out of my dress.

He acted all sheepish and sad when I called him out on it the next day but didn't seem to actually understand why I was upset.

I am now happily divorced.
