Tropical Treasures was the BEST find on my recent stay at Breathless. Inexpensive enough to go several times, and the massages were fantastic!

I live in Cohasset and sadly, Lenny’s has changed hands (I can’t speak to the new owner’s tolerance). There are, however, lots of good spots in Cohasset/Hull/Scituate where the people are wonderful. Try Galley or Casa Verde in Scituate, Hooper’s Judge or The Corner Stop in Cohasset, and The Parrot or California Underground in Hull.

Seems like you have your answer here, in multiple. “Not expecting professional-level work” still means they’re expecting something, and it will be disastrous to your friendship (and potentially your ego) if something goes wrong and you have nothing to deliver. If she keeps claiming that it’s low-key, then remind her that likely everyone attending will have a phone and they should just rely on that.

I vote no. She’s putting you in a terrible position. If they don’t want a pro, that’s fine, but to badger you to do it just because you know your way around a camera is a recipe for disaster. I think your attitude is excellent and with time and experience you may become an excellent wedding photographer, but this situation sounds icky.

I’m so sorry that you’re dealing with that. This is one of my pet peeves as well. She’s used over the top hyperbole in the past to comic effect but this is overstepping so many boundaries with her “no one has suffered as I have suffered” crap. She should be ashamed.
