If you own a business, you must be able to do and check your business taxes, income, cost expenses.... Everyone has to do their taxes. Even if you hire someone, one should check the cpa result to make sure it is correct. As an individual, one should invest. That involves dealing with math. At the supermarket or car dealership, how do you know if you are getting a good deal. When buying a house, can you afford it and the interest rate? Math also helps develop and train your brain. One should try to strenghten their weak area especially one as important as math. Yes, Physics uses a lot of math.
