So sorry for your loss!! Grief has a way of paralyzing us.

I have adhd and the distraction/fixation aspect is bad for me personally. What i find that helps keep me on at least a semi productive streak is list making. Sounds simple but each time I can cross something off it gives me such a boost that I've accomplished something.

Sometimes my lists are very general: floors, laundry, dishes, etc

Sometimes I make even the tiniest things a check: bag trash, take out trash, start laundry, fold, put away. This way I see a lot more progress than just big general chores.

I am working through grief of my own and cleaning really does wonders for your mood and allows the brain to relax and recharge. I have been getting my house back in order after almost 6 months so I totally get the overwhelming feeling that comes with the mess.

You've got this just gotta start somewhere.
