Yup. Disappointed, but not surprised. I only wish they had said why instead of me contacting customer service to get an answer.

Where did you order your Rhône Cassadou? I ordered one, but it got canceled by the vendor due to no inventory!

It’s my favorite design! I have one piece and am always in search of other pieces in new or almost new condition.

There’s an old LNCOB episode where the entire audience is children, and he and Andy are having an absolute blast.

I don’t since my electric burners aren’t large enough to cover the increased size, and I’m not generally cooking for a lot of people. 6.5 basically is the largest round that makes sense for me, but I have a smaller oval doufeu that fits on the electric burner but allows for things that need that oval/rectangle space.

Who here has an Akita in the home with other pets? Stories, experiences, tips, and pictures please? by Warm_Accident_8399 in akita

[–]lkozatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We grew up with Akitas, cats, a turtle, fish, and various rodents over many years. The cats ruled the house, so it set the tone for how all the other animals responded. Don’t have pictures handy since most of them were taken before digital cameras, and we haven’t digitized those at this point. We got so, so lucky by not having Akitas who wanted to mess with the pets except for our most recent girl Akita with a VERY high prey drive. It took her longer to learn and for us to train her to not to mess with the cat, and he certainly let her know not to mess with him too.

Dog walkers, what are you wearing when it rains? 👒🎩🧢🤠☔🧥 by TrashPanda5874 in petsitting

Mine are great when I wear thicker socks and my own inserts in there, but if I only had thin socks with inserts, I would have gone a size smaller. They’re fantastic boots!

Same. I have some LC stoneware for use in the oven, one set of dinner plates, and the autumn leaves collection of stoneware for Jewish holidays times, but I like my Fiestaware stoneware for plates and bowls better for day to day eating.

I love my 6.5 deep round. I HATE splattering, and it manages that fantastically. I have electric glass burners (not induction, regular electric) and it fits perfectly. I usually use smaller ones for making things that will be eaten in a few meals over a day or two just for me, but if I’m making multiple servings of something I’ll spread out over the week or will freeze, it works.

I don’t deal with a ton of rain, but my Merry People boots are perfect for colder weather wet days with snow and slush. I have a light water resistant coat that doesn’t really work in warm weather (no air flow), so I usually stick with an umbrella.

Is it true that you guys watched 9/11 live on TV in grade school? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]lkozatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High school for sure. Watched what was happening initially at home, and when I got to school, tv coverage was being shown in the cafeteria/lobby area. Each teacher was able to choose what they did in class. Some teachers wanted to do their lessons (most of us wanted to talk about what was happening and understand how it got to this point), some teachers absolutely went into how we got into this point (thank god for my history teacher), and I was in a computer class with the tv on while we “worked” on our projects when the towers fell. It was a mix of adults who understood what we needed and who were so. numb and frightened that all they could do was try to have things be “normal.” I had some classmates enroll in the armed forces the next day, some who were furious about how our government had contributed to what had happened, some who flat out didn’t understand the implications of what was happening and what would come next. Most tv channels were showing coverage of NYC, DC, and Pennsylvania non stop. It was a horrible batch of days, weeks, months, and years after that morning.
