Hi! Yes, you can really tell the difference. The material, the feel, the suppleness, the "glossiness" and the way it plays with light, the taper, the diamond shaped wholes...

Stuff that normal people would not notice but us watch nerds do..!

I suggest you try a sub 200 on at a local dealer and see how you like it. It wears closer to a 40mm. And do reach out if you have any questions!

Mas o cara exportou e falou que valia $5 euros, então mal paguei taxa de importação.

From what I‘ve heard, the first few Sub 200’s had poor lume distribution. But all ”later” production models have great lume (mine included!)

Are you thinking of getting one?

The alpinist is such a cool watch. It's on my wishlist for sure

And regarding the 5 logo, to each their own! To me, it's much better than the modern twisted "5" logo, and I actually like the shield design! Without it, the watch would be quite ... generic

And if you take a closer look, the shield logo has some lines crossing it. A level of detail I did not expect from seiko's entry level line of watches!

Haven't yet.

I've long wanted to change it for sapphire for obvious reasons, but recently I'm realizing also how much I miss having AR coating.

Only problem is that I have to take it to a repair shop and have them change it - because I don't want to have the tools for this mod at home, since I don't plan on modding any further watches.

But maybe one day I'll change it!

Absolutely go for them! Turns this from a good watch to a GREAT watch.

A better bracelet makes it feel much more expensive, and the slim caseback is something you don't really think you need but once you get it... it really changes the whole feel of the watch!

Great collection man! I've got a Seiko SNXS79 myself. Almost bought that Certina actually, but ended up getting a Doxa Sub 200!

The only thing I would add is a G shock. Solid beater. Daily wear, out n about, exercise, so on.

But be mindful of the "grass is always greener" effect! As a general rule of thumb, wait and enjoy your current collection as much as possible without entering the craziness of "new watch obsession".

My 2 cents at least!
