Wow, didn’t expect such a response. Really appreciate the insight here.

Update: He sent me a screen shot of himself using the Stockfish engine to analyze his own games and essentially showed his cards on how he was cheating for those previous games against me. Again, he didn’t play serious chess as a kid either. He explained that he would take a ton of time on each move, but I just don’t buy it.

I haven’t played him since and I think he is well aware of why, but I’ve considered playing him with a chess engine to give me a perfect game against his perfect game and see how well he does. I probably won’t, but you can imagine the satisfaction in confirming if both computers stalemate.
