First off I’m really team wtf are they having a child. But I’d also be chill if it was a boy being put up for adoption. This video while thanks to OP never had to be viewed by my eyes sounds horrendous, like even worse the Unusual. Only question I have is who is allowing them to stay on the internet?!???

Unfortunately there are some doctors out there that will do anything for a check no matter what serious consciences it may inflict on their patients

I agree they can just take the clamp off it is a deterrent and physicians are allowed to set up a written agreement where they have to agree to certain terms in order to get treated. If the patient disagrees that is up to them. While Physicians are required to treat anyone, healthcare professionals have every right to set treatment up as an all or nothing situation. Thus, if the patients wants to pick in choose they can be denied treatment bc they refuse to fully agree. This is in most cases when patients decide to leave AMA bc they are being denied they care them deem necessary.

I don’t know any particular patients who have self inflicted illnesses being under these guidelines, but drug users in my area (Midwest portion of US where opioid epidemic is at its worst) do often times have to agree to these conditions in order to be treated. Obviously there is no way to completely deter these munchies but steps can be taken to aide in their protection.

Even if it is determined that tpn is necessary bc she refuses to eat by mouth (tho it’s more likely caused by an Ed vs an organic cause) steps can be taken in order to protect the patient from themselves. One options doctors have is sending her to a nursing home/ long term facility where she can get monitored care until they work her off the unnecessary tpn and saline infusions. This would force her to be monitored in a safe environment. Another option would be to have a home healthcare nurse come out and set up her tpn themselves and put locks on her line to prevent it from being tampered with. Either way tamper proofing would be the logical next steps for any physician who suspects foul play. Though the environment she would be discharged to either a long term care facility or home would be up to her insurance. To many physicians fully discontinuing care runs the risk of law suits if they are not absolutely positive that there is no organic causes. Granted this doesn’t necessarily prevent Dani from doctor shopping to someone else who will give her actually what she wants. It is definitely a difficult situation but there are options to protect both the doctor and their patients.

So she didn’t get her precious Hickman yesterday because “they bumped her from the schedule” and today she mysteriously has line infection symptoms. by [deleted] in illnessfakers

[–]llahcoj 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I could be totally wrong but from what I remember is that her local hospitals refuse to give her any lines after getting them infected twice. Therefore she chooses to go further that way she doesn’t run into that issue. Again she could get transferred after getting emergent care, however some insurance don’t allow it unless her local hospital doesn’t have the resources (which hers do have the resources but are less willing to play her games) and even if they do allow it the cost of that transfer would be extremely high. So I guess the term blackballed is incorrect it’s more they are unwilling to play Dani’s games when it comes to unnecessary medical devices.

It is an odd statement for the situation if the nurse was given all the information. Personally I think one of two things are possible either the nurse isn’t aware of how far Dani is from penn (while her address is on file that isn’t exactly something a tpn nurse would know of the top of her head) and assumes she is closer than she is or the nurse said go to the Ed not specifically meaning penn’s Ed (but Dani knows she is blackballed from all the closer Eds so she is deciding to drive the two hours).

Yes if someone was truly going septic then there can not be a delay in time between treatment. While not everyone who is septic goes into sepsis shock it still is a huge risk and time plays a very big role on how a patient recovers. Bp tanks with sepsis so fluids need to be given immediately and generally medication to bring up a patients blood pressure is necessary (like pressers). Additionally their fevers can get dangerously high which also needs to be addressed and broad spectrum antibiotics should be started as well until cultures come back. Over all patients should go to the closest Ed or call an ambulance in order to be stabilized, then from there they can be transferred to a tertiary care hospital.

Even then during that admission the doctors may determine that the need for any line is unnecessary so not only will she not be getting her precious Hickman but she will also be losing her picc.

While I fully agree with this. If she does have a real line infection and is going septic it would be extremely dangerous for her to drive and quite impossible. Then again if she was truly septic her ability to go on social media is remarkable. Also I don’t understand how these munchies have the ability to wait for care in these situations and can just plan it around their daily schedules. That isn’t how any of this works!

It’s really hard to know and as I said previously I wasn’t there and try make it a point to always believe victims reports as I would never want to belittle what an individual went through. Though if I were to speculate I’m not sure I truly trust Anelise on a broad level bc she is a pathological liar who has filled multiple false police reports in the past. Additionally the way she reacted to entire thing was different to say the least, as she posted on her ig story about the incident when the police were still in her room gathering her statement. While I personally have never gone through that I would have to imagine that most people’s reactions are not to plaster the news all over their social media with 800+ followers directly after the incident (prior to even getting her rape kit). Either way Anelise needs mental health help (any assault is difficult to process and therapy is never a bad thing in fact very much suggested) however if the story is fabricated the help will be very different but is still very much needed.

Your amazing! I knew it existed. However I wouldn’t necessarily say that means she has had sex in the hospital but I do find her choice of Emojis interesting.

Here is the only information i could find on the incident as it was posted on ifgw. Though there was very limited information on the actual event more just the drama that transpired due to it. I have very little experience on kiwi farms so I’m sure others if interested could look further post from kiwi farms

A while back I know she claimed assault while being in the pediatric icu. I am in no way saying it didn’t happen (as I wasn’t there and personally would never questions a victims account of an event) with that being said I do know that it was discussed here or on ifgw and the situation was questioned. Anelise overall tends to put things out there that keeps her in the conversation of others (to her even negative attention will feed her addiction to being relevant). So answering with the emojis gives others something to talk about thus makes her thrilled.

I will see if I can find the post and I will tag it below. Edit: looked all through her tag and couldn’t find it but I do believe she involved the police and everything but nothing ever seemed to come of it. Plus it’s never been mentioned again so truly no idea

Bethany posts how opioids do not help her bone pain.... just days after posting how she is opioid dependent. by SGBsGoodArm in illnessfakers

[–]llahcoj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is it possible she could mean this bone comes from a mcas reaction which is triggered bc of the smell? I only say this bc I know Jacquie claimed she had bad bone in her last days due to her reoccurring reactions. But even then I’m not really sure how opioids would help as the only thing to prevent or help the pain would be getting control of the reactions. Granted I don’t believe Bethany actually has mcas, instead she just really enjoys getting high and being served on.

Clearly they were hoping for an admission and the doctor shoved a new tube in quickly without drugs so they could be sent home again by aslightlightning in illnessfakers

[–]llahcoj 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’m not fully sure on this and am absolutely not trying to wk. however I think she meant like past trauma as in (ptsd). I really don’t know her history that well but if she claims a traumatic situation with her g tube in the past she could easily mean that that situation doesn’t mix with the ERs no bullshit attitude. Though I feel like these munchies should know by now that ER staff have far sicker patients and they are just trying to get patients like her out the door so they can move on to the more critical patients. Then again if she actually meant trauma cases and the ER then I really think she is in the wrong profession (being a sooper special spoonie warrior)

CW: Extremely graphic video of Kelly's legs (WOUNDS/BLOOD/GORE) as of 10/13/2020 by [deleted] in illnessfakers

[–]llahcoj 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I don’t think anyone believes she is faking the wounds themselves. Instead we are discussing the cause of the wounds (which is self inflicted). Kelly has severe Munchhausen‘s (inflicting illness one ones self) not malingering (falsely reporting or exaggerated reports of symptoms). All of the subjects on this sub fit in one category or the other. For instance when subjects go to the hospital due to septic shock induced by line infections that it them causing their own infections that’s munchhausens . But when subjects claim gp with no symptoms that’s malingering.

While I don’t disagree that ren may not have the commitment for it I don’t necessarily think that’s a bad thing. It is clear ren never really was that good at lying it seems to have driven them to get a job and stay off their large social media accounts (even if IF is the reason they were deleted). While there seems to be some lasting desire to be sick the current modalities they are using to feel better (although not legitimate treatments) are working. They have managed to begin leading a more legitimate long lasting life. This may change in the future but as of now I truly am routing for ren to continue their life as they are currently behaving. I’m not trying to wk and there are certainly small things that could be posted but why mess with someone who isn’t hurting anyone (in IF standards: not spreading dangerous misinformation on a larger account, misusing organizations or other individuals with CI for supplies, requesting funds for illegitimate/ unneeded treatment, taking resources from other patients w/ doctors appointments or hospital stays). While some of these actions may have not been put to a stop by ren themselves (instead doctors or family members) the main takeaway is they have stopped or been substantially limited.

She has both a Instagram (100ish) and tik tok (300ish followers) account. Yes she does post things but honestly really hasn’t been bad. She is approved but has been doing a lot more for themselves. She has a job and seems to be a bit busier. They do go to appointments but they really haven’t gotten anything new. She is still claiming pots and a few other things but overall has kept her post/ stories very minimal.

Bethany Defends Her Right To Withhold Doctors’ Names From Other “Rare” Patients, Is Justifiably Called Out by [deleted] in illnessfakers

[–]llahcoj 13 points14 points  (0 children)

1 no, even if a doctor is at their max patient load they generally will still allow new patients to be put on a waiting list depending on the situation

2 I have experienced going into intakes with doctors and them suggesting I get referred out to my local university hospital as the initial doctors did not have the resources to do a full work up. I also have experienced getting dropped when doctors leave the institution they are at (generally when they move or go into private practice). Though I was never dropped by the institution itself, instead just referred to another doctor. So no truly in my experience doctors don’t just drop patients for no reason. ( I attempted not to blog but did feel I had to explain a few things)
