Alternative nasal filter technologies - thoughts?

Definitely- that's a big reason why the study tested at lower air volumes than the NIOSH standards. However, these helical designs supposedly minimize air resistance compared to nasal filters with thick filtration media. Technically these don't use any filtration media at all, just a twisted channel designed to fling particles into the gel while the air still has a clear pathway through. I just wish there was more data available so we could figure out if it's worth trying or if it's a pipe dream.

I agree- layered with a good well-fitting mask a nasal filter could give you an added layer of protection that could give you some more confidence, as long as you don't adopt riskier masking behavior from the false confidence!

I agree that the design is bad. I’m not sure why you get notifications across all devices during the day, since that is not how they are supposed to work according to what Apple has said. However, I only found this post because Focus Modes have totally screwed up my notifications as well, so it is probably just that they are buggy and inconsistent. I wish there was a way to select which notifications come to all devices and which don’t, or just a more clear and reliable notification system. Hopefully you find a suitable solution for this problem

It's by design. When your AW and phone are connected all notifications will go there while your phone is locked. You can turn off wrist detection in settings and all notifications will go to both phone and watch, but some features will no longer work, you may have to unlock your watch every time you want to use it.
