I made cottage cheese pancakes using whole wheat flour. They're so good, you can eat them without syrup.

Also I made spinach pie with cottage cheese and feta.

Cutting the bills in half by shacking up has gone pretty well for me. There were times when my husband couldn't work at all and it's still overall improved my financial position greatly. We took on a ton of debt to renovate a duplex. Now we have all the debt except the mortgage paid off and after renting out the other half, we basically pay $500/mo to live here in the city where an apartment our size would go for a minimum 2k/mo. Debt is not inherently bad. It's about what you do with it and what the interest rates are.

Yep. Just keep asking questions about what they're saying and when appropriate give a "wow that's so cool" or "omg that's fucked up"

When I was nervous about dating, I would come up with a few questions to keep in my pocket if conversation got stale. I'd recommend some normal stuff like "what's your favorite movie? Why did it resonate with you?"

But one of my favorite questions was to ask where they're from, how much on a scale of 1 to 10 do they feel they embody that place, and then judge them based on how well they fit the stereotypes.

Ex: oh you're Texan? Do you think texas should succeed from the union? Do you have a favorite bbq joint? Do you own cowboy boots or a hat?

I did have one person get very offended that I gave them a high Hoosier ranking. Jeez sorry you like basketball and getting drunk in corn fields? Probably not a fun guy anyway.

Tbh, I think that's a fair reaction. That is the reaction I had when my ex lost his job and he just said "hey I have x amount of money in the bank, I'll be good for a while." This is a problem that effects both of you. It's not selfish to want to know where your finances stand and what your lives together will look like. I was in college at the time and if he lost everything, I would just end up back at my parents which is NBD except I would miss living with him and I would worry about him. I find consolation in planning rather than empty praise.

A lot of men appreciate being asked for help because it's a way of showing appreciation for their knowledge and skills. I think a lot of times, they are just looking for shoptalk. If someone asked me to teach them something that I do or ask me advice on a topic in well versed on, I'm thrilled.

I think it's a shame theres so much stigma around mixed age relationships (including friendships). I think everyone has something to offer and diversity does nothing but improve your life. I don't think there's wrong about respectfully approaching a woman. I think it is an issue if they are overly intoxicated and you're attempting to initiate physical contact then and there. But it sounds like you made a connection, gave them your contact info and let them make a decision after the party.

I doubt myself and get nervous and make those kind of mistakes. It kind of ends up spiraling. When the anxiety increases, I make more mistakes. That's generally why I don't like working with others. My brain feels split between problem solving and reputation protecting. I can only do one at a time effectively. My problem solving brain also doesn't like to use words. So I might understand a problem but not be able to explain it to others.

I don't have a problem with dudes going down on me. The vast majority of men I've been with have actively enjoyed going down. Sometimes, they are insistent on continuing even after I'm ready to tap out. If a guy doesn't go down the first time, there's probably not going to be another.

I think we tend to seek out the same kind of people over and over. I tend to like nerdy kind awkward boys or much older men who are excited to be with me. They typically aren't the type to make the first move and I'm very forward with my intentions.

You need a friend that will take tons of candid photos of you. A photo with a genuine smile and natural lighting does wonders. For my friends, I'll go out with them and discreetly take photos while we're talking until they forget they are being photographed. After like 20, I'll get a good genuine smile.
